Thing is, it's an awkward situation when you start to describe people. I have to be very careful in my job.
If I have a group of 40 people who are white and I want to talk about 1 (who happens to be black), it's a dilemma whether to describe them as such. I feel awkward doing so just incase it causes offence, but others don't care about it.
It would be the same if I had 40 people who are black and wanted to talk about the 1 white man/woman...it would be seen as less offensive as I am white.
It's people wanting to be offended for the sake of it to be honest. | |
