Mesa for Burnley game. 21:26 - Nov 9 with 10848 viewswhaleoilbeefhooked

After witnessing the worst display by a Swans side ever.
What next for Clement/Mesa ?
If Mesa can’t get in this game, how bad has our midfield have to play, for him to get In the side???

Let's face it even Jay Foulton can play better than our mid field in that last game.

Innit. Anyone who suffered through Swansea City 0 Kidderminster Harriers 4 should be rolling on the floor laughing at that.

The levels of hyperbole are great at the minute.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

I was.

I’m certain that I could come up with another hundred or two that were worse than last Saturday.

I'll raise you Swansea v Northampton Town in 1973 with just over 1,000 in attendance for a League match at the Vetch. I was 11. It didn't put me off.

Losing 1-6 to Reading at The Vetch in '89 was none too great either!

How's about Swans 0-5 Chester City on Boxing Day in '68 (I think).

The first game my late father took me to at the Vetch was against Workington town around 1965 or 66 and we lost 6 - 1.

He warned me that if I didn’t behave he’d take me to the next home game as well.

I remember the Kidderminster and Reading games, but I think last week's game was worse; let me explain, in those games we were a poor side, end of. Last week was our seventh season in the Premier league and we played poorly against a newly promoted team. Not only was our performance shocking, but basics (passing, free kicks and corners) that can be seen done correctly all over playgrounds in Wales were not being done, they weren't even one offs, they were repeated mistakes.
Also, in the games quoted the players were on basic wage. Our current players earn more in one week that even well paid professional people earn in a year!

Exactly the wrong game for Mesa to start in, therefore Clement will probably start him !

It's clear Clement never signed this player, Mesa would have looked quality in a Martinez,Rodgers or Laudrup team, the only guy around then who has any input now is Jenkins, yet another multi million pound fook up and not the fault of the player.

Good player, wrong system of play for him.
Same with Borja,Gomis,Clucas,Ayew etc,etc,etc.....

At the Liberty I can't recall many worse than Saturday's showing.

I can think of three worse ones just from last season.

Ah the JJ Meligan show, he ruined us that game!

I thought he was a good prospect at the time but it showed how bad we were as his career didn't really go far.

I was just thinking of the night game down the Vetch when we lost to Bury with only Jason Smith vaguely representing a footballer. I think it was the Hollins relegation season, pretty sure that was the worst collective performance I've ever seen from a Swans team.

If he plays Mesa, he is essentially admitting his approach doesn’t work and he’s wasted a quarter of a season trying to contain teams. He will only do that if he thinks he is in the last chance saloon (which he should be).

Mesa wants to get on the ball and play it forward, he isn’t great at quickly falling back into position, I think he is just too maverick for Clement.

I’d love to see Mesa and Sanches let loose to go at teams. I don’t see it happening until we change manager to be honest.

Exactly.
Some prima donna's on here.
Those of us who witnessed the football pre & post Tosh, and bar the odd year, until Martinez took over, saw many awful displays.

One of those players who had a reasonable league career, but looked an absolute world beater the day they came to the Vetch.

Probably is their worst game ever.
And will soon be moving on to wherever they came from 5 years ago.

A lad up front for them that night killed us I recall.
