Tom Carroll 16:57 - Oct 21 with 12325 views | Gaz_M | What a poor season he's having. He was obviously very, very limited in what he can do based on last season's evidence. But this year he's struggling big time. Struggling to keep the ball unless it's a sideways pass, no imagination, no right foot, and his set pieces are f*cking farcical. Needs to pull his finger out. A championship player.
Tom Carroll on 18:29 - Oct 21 with 3123 views | costalotta | Perhaps we should have not sold cork and spent on Clucas and moved Cork forward as the Siggy replacement and thus saved ourselves 6m (16-10). D(iv)OF strikes again!
Tom Carroll on 18:31 - Oct 21 with 3114 views | DwightYorkeSuperstar | Whatever stats Dan Altman was looking at when he concluded £16m was a fair price for Clucas, I would be very interested to know. Perhaps if we bring his name up enough, the talentless 'journalists' who read this forum for ideas for stories daily will bring him to task in a paper.

Tom Carroll on 18:42 - Oct 21 with 3091 views | Tom1912 | What we should have done is signed a proper attacking midfielder to replace Sigurdsson.
Tom Carroll on 19:05 - Oct 21 with 3058 views | jack247 | In fairness, I thought he was excellent last week. One of the worst games I’ve seen him play since signing permanently today.
Tom Carroll on 19:10 - Oct 21 with 3039 views | JackFish | Yep. I thought one of Sanches or Clucas would be playing there, but apparently not. The gap between our defensive seven and our attacking three in every single game is embarrassing.
Tom Carroll on 19:13 - Oct 21 with 3032 views | KingBony | Was he? Or did we just overpay for a useless ginger minge just cos he’s got a left foot.
| Daddy Daddy cool, Daddy Daddy cool |

Tom Carroll on 19:26 - Oct 21 with 3003 views | longlostjack | He wasn't excellent last week though. He put in a lot of effort closing down but that was about it.

Tom Carroll on 19:35 - Oct 21 with 2989 views | jack247 | Wasn’t he man of the match? Either way, he was way below par today.
Tom Carroll on 19:36 - Oct 21 with 2991 views | cmajack | Simply not good enough at this level but that could also be said about a lot of our midfielders. If it's Carroll, clucas, ki or fer a lot of posters say the same they are not good enough.
Tom Carroll on 19:53 - Oct 21 with 2967 views | marchamjack | He excelled himself today with the sheer awfulness of his dead ball delivery. The winning goal came directly from his inability to beat the first man from a free kick in their half, from which they broke away and scored. He is a trier, but he's just not good enough. There's people around me groaning and shouting for him to move away from the ball at set pieces now it's got that bad.
| Oh,..Dave, what's occuring? |
| |
Tom Carroll on 20:08 - Oct 21 with 2944 views | phact0rri | I still have high hopes for Carroll but obviously they need to take him aside and really drill him on set pieces and dead ball situations. the reason Gylfi was so good, was because he worked his socks off learning how to deliver deadball against doing anything else good.
| |
Tom Carroll on 20:09 - Oct 21 with 2940 views | phact0rri | though to be fair he wasn't the worst on set pieces today. I don't think I've ever seen a corner as bad as the one Sanchez skyed.

Tom Carroll on 20:53 - Oct 21 with 2904 views | minimichu | Does anyone think it’s possible to have what appears, a whole Premier League squad who doesn’t contain a single player who can remotely produce a quality delivery from set piece? We’re talking about hugely paid professionals here. Hard to swallow!
Tom Carroll on 21:37 - Oct 21 with 2860 views | vetchonian | Sorry Whilst Naughton has come in for some correct critiscm in the past but to be fair of late he is one of our better players

Tom Carroll on 22:26 - Oct 21 with 2816 views | costalotta | Siggy was a dead ball specialist. He also had someone to aim for.
Tom Carroll on 22:27 - Oct 21 with 2808 views | Dr_Winston | Exactly right.

Tom Carroll on 22:43 - Oct 21 with 2783 views | theloneranger | You can say what you like about Clucas, but he's only ever been offside once in the Premier League.
| Everyday above ground ... Is a good day! 😎 |

Tom Carroll on 23:12 - Oct 21 with 2746 views | UplandsJack | Yeah I agree, naughton has certainly improved this season, though in an ideal world I'd have liked a better option in the Summer. But in no way should he be getting sh!t on here tonight. Carroll was as he has been this season to date, a shadow of the player that came to us in January. All i see now is the old Carroll who came on loan 2 years ago. He desperately needs time out to re-group and find his mojo again. I'd have liked to have seen Clucus given a go on the left side of midfield, where I've previously read is his preferred position. Its time to step up and prove that we DIDNT just spunk away £16 million, as has been suggested. Also as lots have stated, Mesa needs to be starting or at very least on the bench. Leon was completely lost out there today. Not knocking him, just today wasn't his day. Dyer, who I am certainly no fan of, gave us more in 20 mins than Narsingh gave in the initial 70. What worried me the most today, was the lack of creativity available on and off the pitch(bench). It's going to be a long hard season again I fear. Thank Foook their seems to be at least 3 or 4 teams worse than us.
Tom Carroll on 23:20 - Oct 21 with 2735 views | Yossarian | Carroll looks like a lost boy out there. Lightweight and no bottle, confidence shot and happy to blag a living playing sideways.....can anyone think of a pass he’s made that played someone in? And if he’s picked to play wide, then why was he coming inside for Sanchez to go wide when he’s got the speed of a milk float ffs! Clements midfield selections are bonkers.

Tom Carroll on 23:21 - Oct 21 with 2732 views | Dr_Winston | The ball for Abraham in the first half last week.

Tom Carroll on 23:31 - Oct 21 with 2706 views | Dr_Winston | There's very few players currently in our first team squad who aren't capable of doing at the very least a decent job in the Premier League given a quality system and coaching setup to work in. I find this "stealing a living" and "Championship at best" nonsense utterly tiresome. We saw last season that Carroll can do a job in the PL. Why people are so desperate now to claim otherwise despite plenty of evidence to the contrary is beyond me. What we need is a definite system and coaching setup for them to work to. Thus far we've been completely lacking that this season.

Tom Carroll on 23:37 - Oct 21 with 2698 views | donnybackspin | Tom Carroll must be giving half his wages to PC, he's so shit he wouldn't get in the under 23 side. PC needs to F off and take Carroll, Sanches and the board of directors with him.
Tom Carroll on 23:42 - Oct 21 with 2688 views | donnybackspin | Carroll is a waste of space but it as bad as Paul Clement
Tom Carroll on 23:58 - Oct 21 with 2664 views | Tom1912 | I agree. There is no system whatsoever. I hate to say it, but I'm seeing Bob Bradley in Clement's approach to our midfield-changing it every week and hoping something works. There doesn't seem to be any thought or logic driving it.
