I only found out by mistake. Don't think I'd waste my money going to see Macca now, still singing in the same key. Paul Simon and Mylie Cyrus guested on Saturday with Billy. Not first time around, but did see them in TJ's in the 90's. Jon Langford was also in the wonderful Three Johns who I saw twice-once at Gorseinon Leisure Centre supporting Billy Bragg and again at TJ's- 'Death Of A European' was them at their peak, and The Mekons- 'Where Were You'- what a song. He still regularly plays at Le Pub in Newport-good taste Darren! | |

I'm a tad surprised tht no one has mentioned The Crazy World of Arthur Brown. Saw Arthur doing Fire in 1967.
Honourable mention also for Bonzo Dog Doodah Band and the unforgettable My Pink Half od the Drainpipe. Saw Neil Innes and friends (and the exploding wardrobe) about the same time.
I went to see Hendrix too but changed my mind at the door and went home to watch Match of the Day instead.
I was obviously a comedy rather than a music fan. Subsequently I have seen Dylan - way past his best and Clapton - at his best.
