I thought Smithies save deserved a thread of its own. It was, I think, one of the best saves I've ever seen by any goalkeeper. His view was blocked by four players and the shot was from well inside the box. How he managed to save that I just don't know. It was miraculous. [Post edited 6 Aug 2017 0:26]

Genius. He reminds me alot of Phil Parkes. So much composure, skill and ability, almost telepathic, like he knows where the ball is going before its kicked.

Pure instinct save I thought. He couldn't see that ball coming he just knew where it came from and his brain computed where it was most likely to turn up through all those bodies.
