Its getting ever closer to the opening game of the season and I got to thinking about what music you would like to be played at Rochdale,I can remember this being mentioned before elsewhere but I thought that it deserved its own thread,what songs was played previously and did the music go down well? Chalky,--you seem like a decent bloke who in the main means well, so please take a bit of advice in the spirit with which it is given.
If someone from another club (Dale) regularly came onto the County message board but every so often promoted their own team or tried to "score points" about Dale over County then I'm sure they would get short shrift, and every so often they would be told to "fook off". The same applies on this board.
There are people from other clubs who post on here without trying to antagonise or wind up this boards members. They simply engage in objective discussions on football related matters and everyone stays happy. Try it--- you might be pleasantly surprised at the outcome. [Post edited 18 Jul 2017 16:56]

I couldn't really hear much today. It might be down to the speaker upgrade.
Normally I could hear Sweetmore shouting from the Sandy Lane lights, so the trip to Spotland/COA today was much more peaceful, and, in the Main Stand, people were finally able to talk to each other properly, for the first time since Sweetmore entered the scene as the biggest Dale fan, who GMR subsequently cossetted to the delight of the Dale media team and hangers on.
When us folk wistfully say "gone but not forgotten" you can change that, in this case, to a Rochdalian stylee "gone and fooking well forgotten." I think our term is "bog off". And the hangers on can bog off as well. | |

Hangers on at Rochdale?....Never!!ðŸ˜.People who purport to be life long Dale fans and the font of all Dale related knowledge.Often seen currying favour in the main stand bar and joshing with the powers that be. Circumstances change and you never see them again, they just turn their back on the so called love of their life😂.
We all know each other at the Dale, not by name but by recognition.We don't all have to pat each other on the back or even like each other but that recognition and respect that we've put the hard yards in will always be there, you cant just acquire that. It costs a awful lot of money also, constantly digging deep to support your team. We also have some fantastic young fans at the Club who no doubt will become 'lifers'...not hangers on!! I never spoke to him so couldn't dislike him, i didn't know him. As a disc jockey i thought he was very peevish, he only played the records that he liked. He never considered or bothered that maybe, just maybe, his audience might like a bit of variety..and they did. He was also very heavy handed with the volume knob. | | | |
