Jefferson Montero 23:13 - Jul 17 with 9402 views | Nirvana | We've reportedly "offered" Montero to Newcastle for as little as £4m, with some journalist tweeting "from his personal Twitter account" that they are interested: http://www.90min.com/posts/5248549-swansea-city-reportedly-offer-ecuador-star-an Not a lot of money for him, obviously, but the Montero ship sailed a long time ago. Any amount we get could be considered a bonus, since he hasn't offered much during his time with us. Sounds like The Americans agree, and hopefully a deal is imminent (I wish you all the best, Jefferson.)

Jefferson Montero on 23:39 - Jul 17 with 5813 views | Nirvana | Haha good stuff, Warwick. He would actually be a decent player if he could stay on the pitch, though. 20 in a row? Yeah, right.

Jefferson Montero on 01:14 - Jul 18 with 5677 views | jasper_T | Hopefully a mental evaluation isn't part of the medical. And that no one tries to tackle him until after he's signed.
Jefferson Montero on 01:32 - Jul 18 with 5656 views | LeonWasGod | Therein lies the problem. Also very quiet and lacking in confidence considering he can turn fullbacks inside out at will. More of a ballsey attitude and he'd be 10x the player.

Jefferson Montero on 07:57 - Jul 18 with 5311 views | 34dfgdf54 | Really is a shame, can absolutely make a mockery of defenders on his day but never had the attitude or fitness to play consistently over a run of games. Neil Warnock said out of any winger in the premier league, he would sign Montero. Suppose that's why he is managing Cardiff now though.
Jefferson Montero on 08:00 - Jul 18 with 5299 views | Dr_Winston | And probably why he's never successfully kept a team in the Premier League.
| Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back. |

Jefferson Montero on 10:22 - Jul 18 with 4838 views | E20Jack | Hes awful. a straight line runner with very little finesse or creativity. another sprinter not a footballer.

Jefferson Montero on 10:27 - Jul 18 with 4817 views | oldcob | A little more skilful than Barrow, but they both lack a football brain.
Jefferson Montero on 10:31 - Jul 18 with 4791 views | magicdaps10 | I disagree and say that Barrow is a more skillful player. Barrow has a lot of potential but for some reason is just not pushing on. Some players just see the money and think they have made it and sleep walk through their career.......this is what is happening with him i believe.
| |
Jefferson Montero on 10:32 - Jul 18 with 4784 views | E20Jack | Id say Barrow possesses the most skill, he is just incredibly, incredibly dull. Cant see a run, cant see a pass. Montero just runs in a straight line, if the defender keeps up with him then he stops, runs again to see if his acceleration will take him past the defender, if that doesnt then he will just either run into the defender losing the ball or give up and pass it back.

Jefferson Montero on 10:49 - Jul 18 with 4722 views | swancity | Inconsistent. But when fully fit can terrorise any defence. Ask Arsenal. But fitness apart, questionable attitude. File under - quick and talented but didn't make the most of his ability.

Jefferson Montero on 10:59 - Jul 18 with 4677 views | E20Jack | Anyone with pace can do that if they aren't set up properly to defend it. Usain Bolt who isnt even a footballer would have probably done the same. The problem is, it is all too easy to neutralise it. Arsenal defended very high that day which exposed Callum Chambers who lacks pace to Montero who could knock the ball past and run. As soon as Montero comes on then all you have to do is defend slightly deeper and immediately it is like we have 10 men, he is rendered useless. Other clubs have realised and do actually do this however, which is the problem he has. And why he has never been good for any prolonged period of time wherever he has gone.

Jefferson Montero on 11:08 - Jul 18 with 4632 views | KulusBeatFactory | the supercharged Mondeo was a joy to behold doesnt seem to have the nous required at this level - a pity, but i guess PC has concluded he cant coach it into him
Jefferson Montero on 11:12 - Jul 18 with 4616 views | MarinaJack | he's not awful he is inconsistent awful players don't terrorise top teams like Montero has against the likes of Chelsea and arsenal He also appears to be injury prone shame as on his day he is a far better winger than the likes of routledge and narsingh
Jefferson Montero on 11:18 - Jul 18 with 4590 views | 34dfgdf54 | Agreed. As Jack247 always reminds me, no other clubs have found that consistency from him, and if Clement can't, a world renowned coach, then it probably isn't going to happen ever. I was hoping we could keep him this season, but if Clement wants rid, then that's good enough for me.
