Barcelona want £10m, but the PL clubs have supposedly only offered £8m. Everton, Ajax, and Real Sociedad have "enquired" about him, as well. For that price, we should absolutely be looking at this kid, with or without Siggy.
Everything I've said about Patrick Roberts applies to Munir, and he's actually consistently proven himself at the highest level for a few years. Still young (21); great pace and technique; can dribble, shoot, and pass; excellent finisher and footballing brain; good workrate and attitude.
Clement is obviously aware of him, having coached against him with Madrid. If he's not interested, fine, but this kid is quality. He needs time on the pitch, and he'd be in store for plenty if he came to Swansea. He is a goal-scoring winger with a bit of creativity, and that's just what we need in attack. He's also been linked before, too, so ticks all the boxes:
Helooks tidy and if the rumoured £10m price is true, i'd snap him up. He seems to have some flair about him from that video, which is something we were severely lacking in last season. And with Mesa and possibly Viera he could fit right in, also with us possibly already having 3 Spaniards on board with maybe more on their way it may seem more attractive to him to come here.
Agree with everything everyone's said above about the Spanish connection, would be great to have that rekindled at the club. The touch and technique in Spain is on another level, and we need more players like that.
As for Jenkins, it genuinely seems like he has been demoted on transfers, at the least. That is a glorious thing for the club, and hopefully a sign of things to come. The Americans seem to mean business.
""Although I cannot promise or predict the future, I can guarantee one thing - the current board of directors will always fight, as we have done over the last 12 years, to work together as one with the Supporters Trust to make 100% sure that Swansea City football club remains the number one priority in all our thoughts and in every decision we make."
There must be a reason we are not linked, Clement has worked with him previously so would have a good idea if he could cut it in the Premier League or not. The financials you would assume wouldn't be a problem.
S'pose that depends on whether or not breeze blocks are part of the deal. Didn't we used to have some maybe Spanish types with us, that were got rid of?
If you wake up breathing, thats a good start to your day and you'll make many thousands of people envious.
If that figure is true, then there is no way any of the clubs linked with him are actually going to sign him. I assume Barca are playing hardball here to increase his price, but it's not really going to work. He's too young and inconsistent to warrant paying that amount, and everyone knows that.
If the sum comes back down, we should be in for him. Otherwise, we should focus on Roberts, and maybe Iuri Medeiros from Sporting:
Wolves have been linked to sign him on loan for awhile, but we should at least try if we miss out on the other guys. Talented kid, and takes a mean free kick:
Barcelona are said to be trying to send him off to Real Sociedad as part of a package to get Inigo Martinez. Leganes are also attempting to take him on loan.
So, relatively nothing concrete, but thanks to the Neymar money maybe Barcelona will accept less than the €30m they quoted Roma. They could also want to keep him around, as insurance, because they lost Neymar.
We'll see. Would love it if we somehow ended up with the kid.
It explains why he hasn't gone yet, plenty of offers, I'm sure. If they're only looking to sell him, though, they'll have to come down sharply from the supposed €30m they quoted Roma a while back.
Definitely one to watch, as Barcelona may be forced to sell him at a discount rate, and we should be there then, as Uplands alluded to.
