absolutely shocking that this got barely a mention as a leading new story. Yet, other protests with no where near the numbers are shoved to the top of the news agenda

Group of football people united against extremism

How can it be a success:

- By putting rivalries to one side, uniting and marching peacefully
- By adopting a No Racisim/No violence policy
- By building a platform such as our FB group where members are all aligned to 1 common goal
- By not acknowledging Far Left/Far Right movements. We are the FLA and we will stick to our ethos, which we have already demonstrated as being successful.

Why are we doing this:

We are fed up of innocent killings, and want to formally raise the issue of extremism with the government, and feel that by getting mass numbers of people on the ground, and marching to poignant places we will be heard.

The FLA committee will be meeting in the next 7-10 days where we will set out clear objectives as to how we shall look to achieve our aims.

Objectives will be communicated thereafter.

Finally, thanks to everyone new, and old for supporting the FLA movement. I anticipate by the time the weekend is out that we will have surpassed 50,000 members, which will be an incredible achievement considering we will only have been in existence for 4 weeks by then.

The lefties will say it's the rebranding of the EDL where the nations football hooligans who are used to organised fights will spread their vile racism and facism across football stadiums across the U.K.

Normal people will say it's a large group of football supporters of all clubs, colours and religions joining together to unite against the threat of extremism.

Who is right?

Why are people doing this?

I've been reliably informed that there is no evidence of islamiification.

It would Seem a total waste of time.

Will it Save Our Bacon?

Where do I sign up for this wholly unnecessary nonsense?

You have a message

The only terrorist attacks that I have seen in recent times were carried out by islamist nutcases.

So what you are implying is that these marches are just a generalised distain of violence, yes?

Now if you were to drop the "its not against islam" and actually openly and clearly state that it very much is!! It would bare more credibility.

Because the last time I checked there is no other section of society openly abusing this country and its children.

And before you start to think I'm apposed to this wonderful and long overdue movement,i would suggest towing the PC line is exactly why this movement has come about.

So show some clarity and be honest about your real reason and stop pretending it's anything over than a long overdue message that islamiification is not happening on your watch.

If you were to listen to all the speeches you would hear reference to Finsbury Park. Which you seem to have forgotten about as it doesnt suit your argument. The marches are against ALL extremism.

Hiding behind your real intent is meaningless.

And you seem to think I object to the idea.

You couldn't be further from the truth.
