From the highlights, there doesn't appear to be any contact with a Dale player, and I've seen no suggestion that the pitch was at fault. Just one of those mischances?

Tough day at the office for them - lost a player for the season, one suspended for their Chesterfield game and the big no. 9 Reg came off holding his groin. Prolly some tired legs on Saturday too, playing the best part of an hour with 10 men.

Up the Dale - NOT for sale!
Poll: Is it coming home?

Even so, I'd not be sorry to see PV keep L1 status. Their fans don't seem a bad lot, and there's the Colin Garlick link. The chairman seems a bit of an oddball - but at least not a foreign-based one, and he has got a great name (Norman Smurthwaite).

As for tired legs, some of the Dale players could be faltering before 4.50 on Saturday - but likewise the Shrews who also played on Tuesday.

The Sun have reported that Knops Knee's knackered and may require a knoperation.

Being serious, and having suffered similarly, a hope he has a speedy recovery.
