I remember at a game in the 2002/03 season (away at Oldham I believe, the league match not the play off, ended nil nil, was freezing, anyway) that I could hear a couple of worse for wear blokes at the back of the stand singing the following - to the tune of 'there's no other way' by Blur.
Ian Holloway Ian Holloway All that he can do is watch them play
Being a 16 year old at the time, new to the grog and a massive Blur fan I thought this was THE greatest song at football I had ever heard.
Anyway, it wasn't until last weekend when Blur came on in my motor that I remembered how great that chant was and how gutted I am that it never caught on.
So if all of you going tomorrow could join in when I inevitably start singing it that would be great!
I used to work in Camden in the mid 90s. I frequently used to see that guitarist out of Blur going around the place on a skateboard dressed in a brightly coloured kagoule, the kind of behaviour that is acceptable only if you happen to be 11 years old.
At the last home match, I commented to my pal that such a Rangers man and unique chap as Olly surely deserves a more original song alongside "IanHollowaysBluenwhite army". I'd join in the Blur one, in spite of Damon supporting that lot!
Sorry. I'll get my people working on this. If we don't get the 2018 Brit for 'Most Original Terrace Chant Involving A Bristolian Stereotype' then we should all just give up and do that weird Icelandic clapping thing.
'What do we want? We don't know! When do we want it? Now!'

Hello Oli my old friend We’ve come to be with you again Because the passion within’s calling From a time when we had nothing And the noise when…Paul Furlong…scored that day Will never fade Within the walls of Rangers
Ok maybe not, or...
Come on Oli, we all know what you mean to the Rangers, you mean everything You in the press, pulling birds and the rest You’re a legend Ah Come on Oli
