Very proud to be voted Planet Swans Poster of the Year 2017 by my fellow posters. Especially on a site that nearly had 20 million impressions last year.
Honestly I can't really look at today as a sign of what is to come. Mainly I feel that there was quite a few bits of bad fortune, and it has sinked into the attitude. Not as though were cut adrift.
Yep, it's more or less the same every game. Nicey nicey, mamby pamby, going through the motions with zero intensity in our play. A bit of pressure and we concede, no reaction from us, "OK lads, these lot are sh!t, let's steam roller them!" And that really is our season summed up.
No doubt there'll be threads later where people praise our performance in the first half. Completely unaware to the fact that Arsenal deliberately sat off us and let us pass it nicely in our half.
They clearly had a plan to begin pressing relentlessly in the second half and it has worked. We started the second half with both fullbacks bombing forward even when an attack wasn't on, and as soon as we lost it Arsenal turned it on and the game was over. Naughton caught out of position, just like many other goals this season where a full back has been caught out and a team countered down that side ans scored.
Good manager can command respect straight away and give the side a lift just by their presence and personality. We haven't got the time for a rookie manager who's going to take 6 months to work out how and who we should play.

Well the Hull manager is doing alright with a rubbish group of players and he is only two games in.
Who would have thought that the man with extensive experience and success as a manager is out performing the man with who was sacked from his one job as a manager and has been an assistant manager unable to get a Premier League job for years before we came begging.
Well lads, i think that it is clear that along with Narsingh, Olsson and Carrol, we still need another 3/4 players who are capable of stepping straight into the first team.
