VVD on 10:52 - Jan 1 with 1498 views | Number_58 | Perhaps he needs a rest. Hardly had a break since the start of the season. If only we practised squad rotation...
VVD on 12:29 - Jan 1 with 1446 views | saint22 | Let's hope we don't sell Fonte else who plays in the centre with VVD suspended?!
VVD on 13:15 - Jan 1 with 1418 views | saintwizzler | It's only a 1 match suspension

It was the questions we had wrong. |

VVD on 13:21 - Jan 1 with 1408 views | dirk_doone | It's to easy to write off players as 'mercenaries'. They are professional footballers, not amateurs. If Van Dijk felt that staying at Southampton would be in the best interests of his career, he'd stay. But, like many before him, he's seen outstanding team mates sold off only to be replaced by inferior players. You could see he really enjoyed playing football last season under Koeman alongside the likes of Wanyama and Mane and probably believed we could win a trophy this season, maybe even the Europa League, but lately his body language almost says, what the hell am I doing playing with these mediocre players? It's time to get out. If it was only about the money, van Dijk could move to China any time he wanted to and earn more than double what he could get even at a top club in England. VVD on 19:04 - Jan 1 with 1292 views | Leslie | It's a shame we couldn't transfer some of our needy fans!

VVD on 19:27 - Jan 1 with 1273 views | TheKraken | "If Van Dijk felt that staying at Southampton would be in the best interests of his career, he'd stay." He's only ever seen Saints as a stepping stone. Van Dijk himself publicly stated in the summer (after signing his 6 year contract) that he was happy to stay "for another year or two). It was the biggest "come and get me" plea you could ever see. The fact that we've regressed this season is largely irrelevant, his excellent form has encouraged attention from a few of the big clubs which would have been exactly what he wanted to achieve. He was always intending to leave by the start of the following season, and the club will have done well by getting another year out him plus a big payday.
VVD on 19:31 - Jan 1 with 1259 views | Leslie | He signed a 6 year contract and was 100 percent going to see it out. He wants to stay but Les wants to cash in on him. He got sent off yesterday purely to protest against the evil Les regime!

VVD on 02:39 - Jan 2 with 1171 views | larry12 | He gave up because he has to play continually with useless players, JWP and Davis all the time and that Caber Thrower in Goal. Saints start with 9.5 players when the above 2 midfield clowns are involved. Puel "bought" Pied, who was better than Cedric, Martina. Tw*t Jwp , Davis, Hoyberg and Pointless trier Redmond. Reed sorted the rubbish squad before he found the last man available and gave him Academy nobodies and Long type also-rans type bad squad . Puel continues to try to polish a brown thing.
VVD on 09:39 - Jan 2 with 1114 views | Kennington | VvD looks understandably worse with Yosh, as he has to clean up after him. It's happened a few times this season. Arguably VVD is our best midfielder as well as defender because he actually runs forward in the oposition's half with the ball. He can't do this as much with Martina and Yosh on the pitch.

VVD on 15:44 - Jan 2 with 995 views | FrankXerox | This sensational mind reading ability you have for the players, as well as supporters who haven't made it to the home games, is a truly rare talent. It's almost as if there are voices in your head telling you what the players think about Mané and Wanyama, it's very impressive.

VVD on 16:02 - Jan 2 with 974 views | Del_Bianco | Mind reader, psychologist, body language expert not to mention an intimate knowledge of our transfer strategy, even including all the players we didn't sign that Paul Mitchell recommended, who funnily enough are all doing well in the premier league. It's almost like its all made up.
