It honestly never ceases to amaze me how two people could look at something like Cuba and come away with diametrically opposed impressions.
I see a society without freedom of speech or freedom of assembly. Secret police and death squads. The left? Owing to some strange form of political Phenylketonuria see Nirvana in Havana.

Ah I'm far too ill to keep up with you this morning. I'm going to be doped up to the gills just to make it to the game today.
Ah Castro, a complicated figure. Never got the romanticisation with him myself as someone on the left, human rights abuses and whatnot but his life story reads better than fiction in parts. Still, the Cuban mission crisis is one of my favourite historical topics.
If this flu gets the better of me a I hope my untimely demise won't put a smile on your face, whatever be the weather.
