What is the point of it? he's pleading not guilty to four charges of which their is indisputable evidence he committed, and now refuses to offer any defence, what a total waste of public money, surely the death penalty should be implemented in cases like this

Not if he's in max security.

If he was in a low risk open prison then yes I would agree.

I often see old guys walking the streets who have not got a pot to piss in
and think they would be better off inside a low security prison,to be honest
I do not know if such prisons still exist.

But 3 meals a day,no bills,laundry done for you,plenty of time for TV,reading,radio,etc
sounds better than some old guys on the outside are getting I think.

Just taken a look at what type of prisons we have in the UK and how prisoners are allocated to each class of prison.

There are 4 categories A,B,C,D

D is a "open prison" for prisoners deemed not dangerous and unlikely to attemp escaping.sounds ideal for a fit seventy something with feck all who does not want to go through the stress of modern life.
