Sunderland looked shocking yesterday despite only losing 1-0 to a very strong Spurs side.
The safety mark will be alot lower than 40 I think, mainly due to how strong the top ten are, not many teams will be causing surprises. Obviously Watford did yesterday but they aren't going to be anywhere near the bottom anyway. | | | |

Well said. I saw all the bad things in the Soton game just like the rest of you. But there's nothing wrong in looking at the positives.

In relative terms our attack is better than our defence, so this waiting for us to go 1-0 down before bringing on the likes of Barrow, Montero and Baston is doing us no favours IMHO. Better to give opposition teams something to think about by attacking them rather than sit back and look to rely on our poor defence to shore things up, especially with FF and JA in the form that they are in !
Maybe FG an give it a go in the EFL game before Saturday's more important encounter against Man Citeh ?
Crikey, just watched the "lowlights" of yesterday's game on Sky and we made a pretty average Soton side look like flippin Barcelona ! If we don't get back to playing our passing game then we're going to end up being relegated. We need Leon back in the side and getting 2 wingers in from the start.
