And a nest of vipers according to a Labour party spokesman.

Take it away Trampie:

The creatures outside looked from pig to man, and from man to pig, and from pig to man again; but already it was impossible to say which was which.

The problem is Trampie, and the reason nobody else on this entire forum seems to encounter as much resistance as you, is because everything you say is divisive Welsh-nationalistic rhetoric. Anyone who doesn't support Plaid is a 'Brit Nat Tory'. They could be apolitical, or a life-long Labour/Lib-Dem supporter or even UKIP Green Party members, but to you, they're all the same. They're all English-loving, austerity promoting Brit Nat Tories who want to pillage our land.

I agree that Wales has become a city-state and that Welsh Labour should be ashamed of the disgusting way they've treated Wales, and it is for that reason I believe they should be voted out - not because I want independence based on some century-old grievances.

I'm proud to be British and frankly, twenty years of Welsh Government neglect has killed off much of my Welsh pride. I'm voting for what I believe is the best for my city, and frankly, I think Labour have repeatedly betrayed Swansea.

Mike Hedges is a Swans fan but, in my opinion, is a career politician like the rest of the Swansea AMs. Edwina Hart is the minister of the Economy, from Swansea West and has done nothing to fight Swansea's corner and get us funding for our proposed city deal, or funding for the planned city centre regeneration. We haven't had a single politician willing to fight for us down here, and that needs to change. If the people to do that are Plaid, then so be it.

I met her twice just before she was an MP and she came across as one of those chopsy, aggressive women who are usually unemployed.

If the assembly could stop us playing Premier football so it could be played in Cardiff they would.

I wish I knew what the answer was and what politician to vote in that would get the message across. I would love a party that would reverse the disparity. I would stand if enough people would vote for me to win though I would gladly help someone else to do it as I'm not into limelight politics.

Couldn't agree more. They've stolen more from us than England ever did - yet people still consider England the enemy. Baffles me.

Anyway, it's for this very reason I'll be voting Plaid. They're the only party which have promised to introduce a bill to spread investment. We have nothing to lose in trying them - we get absolutely nothing but austerity and job cuts from our current Labour Government.

I am not a nationalist but although leftish wing I am disilllusioned with the way Labour have done nothing for the rest of Wales despite their protestations that they have.

If I lived 1/2 a mile down the road I would vote plaid just on the basis that they will spread investment. That means across the nation not just pushing it to Swansea.

Ideally, I want a new party formed with socialist ideals that stops Cardiff bay growing at the expense of the rest of the "principality".

I'm not nationalist at all. I'm proud to be British and 20 years of neglect has made me turn my back on my Welsh identity. Feel like Wales has done nothing but screw Swansea over.

But I still think Plaid are the best option for Swansea, and Wales. If I didn't vote them, I'd vote Lib Dem, but they haven't promised an investment distribution bill - that's clinched it for me.

Itt is like Caediff City cricket club - the stadium is permanetly less than half ful.
I must say that I went to a couple of 20/20 games last summer and it was good fun. It is a real pity though Trampie and I wholeheartedly agree with you on this, that Swansea doesn't get 20/20 friday evening games. Can you imagine, a few pints watching the cricket and cans on the beach after? Bliss mun

You can't really believe that can you? I mean there are plenty of issues that should be discussed between now and May but do you honestly believe the assembly would take Premier League football away from Swansea out of spite?

This debate is crossing into "chip on their shoulder" territory a little too frequently. Swansea deserves better, but won't get it by being bitter.

Yeah I believe this. I also think that had Cardiff been as successful as we have been (until this season) then the WAG would've thrown money at it to make a big deal of it.

Glammy played in Swansea for over a century, but after devolution, they're now a Cardiff team, playing Cardiff music before matches, and frankly, are completely unrecognisable to me now. I support Gloucestershire now, because I'm not giving money to that Cardiff club. A year or two ago I heard the fans singing anti-Swans songs.

I think it's in their interests to see Swansea fail in everything. If we suffer, in any form of life (sport/economics etc) then it strengthens Cardiff. If we get a regenerated city centre, people will stop spending their money in Cardiff. That's a lot of money they'll be losing - hence why, in my opinion, they refuse to put any money into our city centre regeneration, whilst giving Cardiff's City Deal £800m, on top of the billions they spent on St Davids and Cardiff Bay. Keep Swansea poor, don't encourage tourism here, and keep getting our region (close on 400k people) spending their money there, rather than on their doorstep.

The Americans had a word for people like us, 'Uncle Toms' - we get completely mistreated and we always go back for more. We'll vote in the same treacherous politicians who have sold out our interests for an easy life, and Swansea will continue to suffer - and in 5 years the cycle will start again.

I'm sorry but that's almost a conspiracy theory. How much has the WAG done to help or hinder either football club? Why didn't the WAG do all that it could to keep Cardiff in the Prem while they were here? Why let them go down?

What I think looks more dodgy is the relationship between Cardiff Council and their football team and to a large extent the Cricket Ground. I believe Cardiff Council loaned Glamorgan the money to redevelop Sophia Gardens into the "test arena" it is today. That doesn't have anything to do with the Welsh Assembly. Conversely how miffed would the people of Swansea be if their taxpayers money was spent to improve St Helens despite it laying dormant for most of the years. Our council built the Liberty for us yet we expect them to compete with Cardiff Council for renovation on our cricket grounds? It doesn't have anything to do with the Welsh Assembly government but I suppose you can't unchip a shoulder.

You do actually have a point with city regeneration and the deal for Swansea. It's those things the people of Swansea need to focus on. It's like the other week when people complained about St Athan getting the Aston Martin plant. It turns a legitimate gruievence into a sewing circle of moaning. It's embarrassing at times.

No, I didn't say they had, no conspiracy theory at all. I said that if they could've, like Franco did in Spain with Real Madrid, then they would've. Also, didn't the WAG buy the land of Ninian Park off the scum for a vastly inflated price?

I'd be amazed if the WAG didn't put money into the redevelopment of Sophia Gardens. Why wouldn't they? They spend £15 taking the Ashes there and claim it's 'good for Wales'. They spend over a billion redeveloping Cardiff centre and Bay and give us nothing. Since when do scruples ever matter to these people?

Yes, I do have a chip on my shoulder about it, but it's not people like me who are letting them get away with it. It's the Uncle Toms of Swansea who keep voting these donkeys in a red sash in. It's the morons who don't complain to their AMs about the fact that they don't fight for Swansea. It's the people who reinforce the inequality by going to Cardiff to do their shopping. If you ask me, Swansea need a lot more people with a chip on their shoulder and then finally, we may get some equality.

Absolutely, and I go nuts if the wife suggests any form of spending in Cardiff as we have a city centre with shops and they will close if people don't spend in that area. If we do get an improved centre with shops that those crazy people enjoy then everyone is happy.

I didn't hear any anti Swans songs last year in the evening 20-20s. I fact there was one fella there in a swansea tracksuit from the valleys, much to the chagrin of my Cardiff supporting mate! He's early coceded that we are the bigger team now but Bristol City were always their "real" rivals............................
