If we carry on with this formation we will be relegated. I can understand, in certain games, to keep it tight and to accommodate players, but this is now the norm.
Take out Siggy & Ayew the rest of yesterday's team have scored one goal between them. The next highest scorer was on the bench - Gomis. From Bony's departure until the start of September Gomis was scoring goals regularly, but what's happened since? Has Gomis changed his style of play? No, what's changed is the service, or lack of it, which he's had to deal with in the bad spell we had under Monk.
We need to get back to playing wingers - Montero & Barrow preferably, sorry Routledge definitely second choice, & get Gomis back in - give him proper service & he will score.

What about 4-1-4-1 with siggy and ayew behind paloschi and barrow and Montero/routs on the wings? Never gonna happen but we'd score more goals! I think if you've got players with good engines like ayew and siggy that can get back quickly when attack turns to defence it could work. Cork and Britton in the same team is too defensive and we can't transition between defence and attack quick enough. Plus cork is soooo slow! | | | |

Montero raping a full back is no comparison to Taylor or Naughton 'marauding' forward to win a throw in off a defender. Wingers equal width, and with pace too. Montero is better at hitting the penalty spot with the ball than Gylfi is so I don't know why people are trying to polish this particular turd.
