Austin Replacement Thread 13:28 - Jan 16 with 12892 views | ichbinnaughty | Options, suggestions here - within the realms of realism and possibility; let's assume JFH has £4m to spend.
Austin Replacement Thread on 16:03 - Jan 16 with 3159 views | TheBlob | Roofe has just signed a long contract with Oxford. Thatch what I heard anyway.

Austin Replacement Thread on 16:09 - Jan 16 with 3148 views | E17hoop | We have to reduce our wage bill for FP so are unlikely to add to the squad permanently. That means loan players. They'd not be likely to come from L1 where JFH knew the teams - would a team in L1 have a striker good enough to play there be available for a loan to the Champ? So that make Prem loans more likely. The relationship that LF has with Spurs as a development coach and the return of Ramsey means Spurs would be their first port of call.

Austin Replacement Thread on 16:25 - Jan 16 with 3127 views | isawqpratwcity | It still wouldn't necessarily make them first port-of-call, but fair enough. I thought that was a 'Not another Spurs player' post.

Austin Replacement Thread on 17:05 - Jan 16 with 3034 views | tkqpr | Well he signed from WBA last summer on a 3 yr deal so just over 2yrs left. Your not telling me a £2m bid for him and double his wages wouldnt tempt them? I can see him playing off Poulter......Give me the job Ill sort it out!!

Austin Replacement Thread on 20:20 - Jan 16 with 2798 views | DWQPR | For me the centre forward I have seen this season that has caused our defence the most trouble and scored with a great header and who we could get very cheaply given the financial situation of his club is Gary Nadine of Bolton

Austin Replacement Thread on 20:24 - Jan 16 with 2772 views | QPRDave | Gary Hooper played the last game of his loan today. 4 goals in 5 according to Jeff Stelling. Hi-Jack anyone?
Austin Replacement Thread on 20:43 - Jan 16 with 2723 views | ichbinnaughty | Adam Lefondre maybes? Always thought he was a decent poacher. Not sure how old he is but pretty sure he was red hot about two years ago and he's now somewhere surprisingly low-end. Btw what ever happened to Tom Hitchcock ? Where did he end up?
Austin Replacement Thread on 20:49 - Jan 16 with 2711 views | Pommyhoop | Adebayor is available. Just rejoice in the fact that I'm joking and those days are truly behind us. Rejoice!

Austin Replacement Thread on 21:21 - Jan 16 with 2628 views | baz_qpr | I suspect we will loan one and buy one so probably a Crouch, Bamford or Hooper on loan and a punt on one of the in-form more highly rated strikers in the lower leagues with pace
Austin Replacement Thread on 21:33 - Jan 16 with 2596 views | Dorse | Zamora? Seriously, though, I'd love Bamford but we've got no chance. Bradshaw sounds great but I get the feeling that the cheque book is locked in a lead lined safe, encased in concrete and dropped into the Atlantic, to be retrieved only once Sandro, Fer and Green have departed for parts unknown. At which point they'll begin to play like world-beaters and we'll all have a pop at Bradshaw for misplacing a pass and call Jimmy a Chelsea kunt.

Austin Replacement Thread on 22:18 - Jan 16 with 2343 views | Watford_Ranger | Let's give Polter a proper run and remind JET that he's in the last chance saloon and his next club will be Barnet if he doesn't step up.
Austin Replacement Thread on 22:31 - Jan 16 with 2294 views | wombat | Has hooper played for narrowing this season ? Don't think you can play for 3 clubs in the same season if he has

Austin Replacement Thread on 23:05 - Jan 16 with 2227 views | aston_hoop | Have you seen much of of these guys? I say that because the guy at City left them over a year ago and then couldn't get in to Port Vales team and was released after having major disciplinary issues (thanks Wikipedia)

Austin Replacement Thread on 23:05 - Jan 16 with 2224 views | aston_hoop | And for the record, lets not spend. Polter, JET, Mackie, RGC...we'll stay up somehow!

Austin Replacement Thread on 23:13 - Jan 16 with 2191 views | WilloW4 | Just a thought... But does JET really give a monkeys ? Has he ever whichever club he's played for.? There's a reason he's always floating about doing very little... He might be a lazy arsed can't be fecked , where's my money type of player...just a thought.!
Austin Replacement Thread on 23:25 - Jan 16 with 2168 views | bosh67 | There is definitely something that rattles managers about JET. He has all the ability in the world, much like Adel but seems to struggle to apply himself. It's a great shame because I think the players like him. To be fair I think Ramsey both gave him a platform and then took it away from him. When Charlie was struggling back Ramsey appeared to almost dismiss JET when he was clearly in form. He doesn't seem to have recovered. Rumours of him refusing to do extra intense training is rumour, so unfair to comment on that. I think he is a player that needs an arm around him but a succession of managers seem reluctant to do that. Big shame because JET has a lot of talent. Destined to go the same way as Adel.

Austin Replacement Thread on 23:32 - Jan 16 with 2142 views | Watford_Ranger | That's exactly what he is. My (unlikely) hope is he eventually realises this is his last big payday unless he starts to give a fck. Probably won't happen but one can dream. If two excellent strikers in Ferdinand and Hasselbaink can't inspire him then it probably won't ever happen though.
