Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return 11:31 - Dec 23 with 3338 views | thomasJack | Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return According to Le Progrès, French left-sided player Franck Tabanou is closing in on a return to St Étienne after failing to amass any playing time with Swansea since his move during the summer transfer window. The player is most likely to return to the club on loan and initial discussions have occurred. The only problem in this potential deal at the moment is that Swansea are refusing to agree to allow any players to depart until a new manager is appointed, so that the individual can assess his new squad before the transfer window begins.

Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 12:17 - Dec 23 with 3057 views | jack247 | People have a thing about Taylor. He is never going to offer much going forward, but has probably been our most consistent defender this season.
Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 12:20 - Dec 23 with 3029 views | TheKirkyLife | Gutted for Franck. He IS more talented than Taylor but the gap between the two is smaller than people realise. His exclusion by Monk was a big black mark against the gaffer for me.
Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 12:21 - Dec 23 with 3027 views | WxmJax | Could the reason be that one of them wants to attack while the other seems to just hog the touchline ? Doesn't appear to get much help defending that left side either.

Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 12:22 - Dec 23 with 3022 views | lovejuicejack | Bog standard defender does not beat a man does not put in a cross, everything our system was built on he cannot do, apart from that he's good.
Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 12:27 - Dec 23 with 3002 views | magicdaps10 | A premiership full back has to offer more than just defending well. Taylor is ok but we need more from left full back to help create the chances that our attacking players need.

Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 12:30 - Dec 23 with 2986 views | TheFranchise | Did I say a damn thing about his defending? He's a solid defender but by going forward ahead of Monterro, he moves into a space that Jefferson wants to attack.
Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 12:51 - Dec 23 with 2868 views | jack247 | No you didn't. He is better off not overlapping Montero at all, because he is never going to get the ball, leaves a big hole behind him, which Montero won't help protect and as you say, runs into areas that Montero wants to attack. I have hardly seen any of Tabanou to judge, but if people want to play an attack minded full back behind Montero, they haven't considered how easy we are going to make it for opponents to attack us down that flank.
Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 12:53 - Dec 23 with 2859 views | jack247 | Like a left footed Rangel? You would need a winger that protects his full back to get away with that. Behind someone like Routledge, I would agree, you would need someone who can overlap and create space. Behind Montero you don't.

Franck Tabanou closing in on St Étienne return on 13:54 - Dec 23 with 2630 views | jack247 | System was built on? He has been a first team player more or less all the way through the 'Swanselona' episode, I think Bessone was our last regular left back before him? Apart from Ben Davies' season and a bit, he has been automatic first choice and we have never really seen left back as a problem position. He didn't get half as much stick while he was playing behind other wingers.
