Who thought Eder was the answer? More to the point what was the question he was the answer to?

Cost a combined 11 million...

we could have bought someone decent for 11 million and got another loan in..

Gomis is the type to score just 10 goals a season and be continuously awful.

Eder wasn't pulling up trees at Braga.. but he does put in a shift.

The awkward moment when a Welsh Club become the Champions of England.. shh The Swansea Way.. To upset the odds.

We've suffered with second striker syndrome for years.I can remember liking Bauza when he played second fiddle to Scotland and Trundle but since then Luke Moore has been as good as it's got.5m on Eder is a massive f**k up though.I really hope we go for it in January getting a striker in.It will tell us how much the board want us to stay up cos there's the problem right there.

Bobadilla from Augsburg - a real handful. Would be a good signing.

Worst signing in the club's history.

It's all relative but it makes the Rory Fallon signing for 300K which was a lot of money to the club at the time look like an absolute steal.

He's shit, his goal scoring record is shit and Sporting Braga are shit. If he was any good he'd have been at one of the top 3 clubs in Portugal at the very least.

1 in 21 at international level says it all.

What a load of rubbish.

It's also up to others to chip in when the striker isn't hitting the net, the fact that aint happening is highlighting the situation .

I didn't think Gomis played bad today, he was just never going to get the required space against a deep laying West Ham defence.

We should have had a bit more guile in the final 3rd , if Gylfi and Gomis had been playing together more often then we may have had a chance for that relationship to develop, green shoots of it today though.

You've highlighted the tactical problem. Gomis likes to run onto the ball but teams coming here aren't going to allow him that space.

We needed a target man to play a Bony type role for this opposition- to hold the ball up and allow our midfielders to run past him.

If the game opened up later on then Gomis would be more effective.

Looking from the outside was Eder supposed to provide that option but without threatening Gomis' place as first choice. Whatever the reason he was bought probably our worst ever buy.

Anybody see Jorda Ayew playing for Villa last night looked miles better than Gomis and Eder rolled into one,he made is own room to score a cracker.

He impressed me in their game against us, he was the best player on the pitch in the first half of that game.

Money we'll never recover, unless Braga or some Portuguese outfit feel we've missed something 😂

£500k seems a more likely valuation, maybe someone put the decimal point on the agreement in the wrong place👍

The mercenary and Eder on 23:50 - Dec 20 with 4560 viewsawayjack

Yup sadly 500k is closer to what we'll get if we offload him in Jan. £10m doesn't always guarantee success but our approach to spread our money over lots of average signings verus what Board promised i.e focus spend on new that'll be in our starting 11 is starting to bite us. Hindsight is easy but we've been lucky with injuries and the £10m or so wasted on Eder, Tabanou and a couple of reserve players would've brought in the quality striker we need. Let's hope we recognise the urgency and break our usual frugal approach in January and bring in a decent striker.

Surely Tabanou is a worse buy than Eder, at least he has played, scratched that, been on the bench.

Upthecity!

The mercenary and Eder on 00:25 - Dec 21 with 4480 viewsChrisSCFC

I thought it would a tad harsh to give the worst buy ever award to a fella who's never had a chance you never know he may had been involved recently had he not got injured.

The mercenary and Eder on 00:29 - Dec 21 with 4468 viewsyescomeon

Yeah I get that, and perhaps it is harsh but if Eder can get a start and this guy can't get on the bench how bad is he? Don't see him getting into the first team any time soon as Taylor is having a good season.

Upthecity!

Folks

Its all so futile is it not.

Clueless hapless chairman, hopeless manager , depressing acquistions.

We need some hope but none of us can see that much right now.

We can either sulk for the rest of the season or front up ..

Im hoping somehow our squad will and Huw does the brave thing and invests ina quality striker as with one we WILL stay up. With Gomis WE WONT. Its that simple.

If Jenkins tries to do it on the cheap, then it ll prove far more costly in the long run.

We need to think positive or at least the Board do. So get Poyet /Pearson in NOW and lets do the simple things like defending /attacking corners, crossing the ball and attacking the fecker
