Barton 00:18 - Dec 5 with 16476 views | JAPRANGERS | So Barton is back next week. What sort of reception will he receive from our fans I wonder??
Barton on 20:27 - Dec 5 with 2977 views | TacticalR | I expect it will all be water off an Ãœbermensch's back.

Barton on 20:39 - Dec 5 with 2968 views | FDC | Ha ha. The supporters have been magnificent. And profoundly meaningful. [Post edited 5 Dec 2015 20:52]

Barton on 21:19 - Dec 5 with 2919 views | flynnbo | Agree entirely.
Barton on 09:26 - Dec 6 with 2787 views | daveB | After a few years of him at the club we should know he loves it when opposition fans boo him as it motivates him. I'd just clap him at the start then ignore him and just support the current team
Barton on 09:51 - Dec 6 with 2770 views | actonman | Never got the Barton hate ? Played with more passion than the majority of other wasters to pull on our shirt over the last couple of years. Yes he is a bit of a knob but to boo him would be just classless from us !
Barton on 10:03 - Dec 6 with 2756 views | Northernr | By the same token, I've never understood this "at least he showed some passion". Firstly, on the pitch, constantly giving the ball away, wasting every attacking free kick and corner we got for four fcking years, and getting sent off on four separate occasions for four acts of stupidity in vital matches for us does not equate to passion. Mackie, Ainsworth, Bardsley, Holloway - these people played with passion, to huge positive effect for the team. Barton played with ego. Off the pitch he slagged QPR off far more often than Bosingwa or anybody else. Never shy of saying he'd made a mistake coming here, only came for the money, desperate to leave for Narseille, desperate to leave for Everton, never playing for us in the Championship etc.
Barton on 10:26 - Dec 6 with 2723 views | richpr | agree with actonman - he always gave 100% whether he played well or sh*t - much better than some of the lazy wasters we have on our books - Fer comes to mind
Barton on 10:31 - Dec 6 with 2716 views | DANRANGER | Exactly so surely the focus needs to be on us and what JFH is going to do. Would be great to ignore him but as said not much chance. Big game to win. That is all.
Barton on 10:46 - Dec 6 with 2707 views | BazzaInTheLoft | THE JOSEPH BARTON EQUATION Barton = (Cattermole + Ego) + (Costa - Ability) x Lobotmised Nietzsche [Post edited 6 Dec 2015 10:47]

Barton on 10:50 - Dec 6 with 2702 views | BazzaInTheLoft | Also, if you want someone who gives 100% but contributes nothing football wise we might as well field a Kenyan long distance runner. We'd pay a lot less wages and get a lot less agro too.
Barton on 10:55 - Dec 6 with 2693 views | easthertsr | Surely next weeks game is all about JFH and not Barton? Polite applause at the start then ignore and cheer on Jimmy's boys!
Barton on 10:59 - Dec 6 with 2688 views | Northernr | You'll have to remind me when Fer has publicly said the club is a shambles that he regrets joining, that he should never have left Norwich to come here, that he's desperate to leave, that he'll never play for us in the Championship, that he only came here for the money. You'll also have to remind me of all the petulant acts of temper he's displayed at key moments of vital games resulting in red cards. Nah, I'll take Fer thanks.
Barton on 11:38 - Dec 6 with 2656 views | qpr1976 | Personally, I'm hoping for a rousing ironic chorus of "you should have stayed with the Rangers" in the 88th minute as he leaves the pitch following his red card with Burnley 4 down ..... (Time to up my medication nurse)
Barton on 12:16 - Dec 6 with 2611 views | TacticalR | Perhaps Barton's appearance as an opposition player will allow us to judge him in a more objective way. My assessment of him was that he was good when he played in a disciplined defensive role, but poor when passing when further forward. He was also a player who could really lose his way roving all over the field trying to do everything. We'll see how it pans out on Saturday.
| |
Barton on 12:19 - Dec 6 with 2181 views | TacticalR | Is that double reverse psychology? Yes, let's mess with his head.
| |
Barton on 12:31 - Dec 6 with 2162 views | isawqpratwcity | Just let him play. We could push his buttons, get the red mist up and he'd be gone. But we're better than that. That's a sh*tty City trick.
| |
Barton on 12:49 - Dec 6 with 2144 views | TacticalR | OK, as long as he doesn't flick anyone's nuts. [Post edited 6 Dec 2015 12:49]

Barton on 12:59 - Dec 6 with 2127 views | richpr | well - were you one of the Ramsey / Henry boo brigade - just because they are sh*t at coaching / football?? Same thing!
Barton on 13:01 - Dec 6 with 2125 views | stevec | after the deserved abuse most of us heaped on him at 0-2 down to Liverpool, a lesser man could quite easily have chosen to disappear from view a la Traore but for the last 2 seasons, faults and all, he always gave his best. Polite applause from me Saturday.
Barton on 13:50 - Dec 6 with 2085 views | BazzaInTheLoft | No I wasn't actually. Firstly because I don't boo and secondly because I don't think either are shit.
Barton on 14:04 - Dec 6 with 2072 views | londonscottish | He's a bit of a knob. Ignore.
| |
Barton on 14:08 - Dec 6 with 2067 views | actonman | Well you can give him credit for speaking the truth . We all know the rest of them including fer think the same but are not stupid enough to say it. The fact is he was not as good as he thought but he was a hell of a lot better than anybody gave him credit for Your right, all his misplaced passes / sh!t free kicks and corners never did us any favours but if we're going to go down that road of slating ex players cos they where sh!t then that's one hell of a list to draw up.
Barton on 16:39 - Dec 6 with 1989 views | timcocking | I don't think he thrives off it at all. I think it's all a pretend act with joey, and he wants to be popular.
