Good luck chris. on 10:21 - Nov 5 with 1631 views | BazzaInTheLoft | I didn't say I wanted him to beat us. Just that WHEN someone beats us I hope it's him because I felt he was doing ok and didn't deserve the bullet.
Good luck chris. on 10:27 - Nov 5 with 1623 views | quickpassrotter | Not many will argue that CR is an outstanding youth coach and had proved his credentials elsewhere. I felt really good when he came in and started to reshape the Academy. At long last I saw a future for our youth set up and a man who would direct brilliantly in that role for many, many years. The club could tick that box. Uncle Tony has so much to answer for. Should have left CR where he was . CR absolutely not right for the big job but Uncle Tony screwed up both set ups - Youth and First Team squad with his promotion and then permanent position as manager. I wonder if CR will stay if offered any sort of different role now ?

Good luck chris. on 11:00 - Nov 5 with 1565 views | BrixtonR | Good luck to him and I agree. Sums up the business acumen of the board that apart from appointing him in the first place with no proper process they didn't put him on a rolling contract ( and do the same with his replacement as head of youth) with a clause in his contract that if first team duties didn't work out he goes back to his old role. Basic retention policy you'd think. Now we owe him 3 years and have someone far less qualified doing his old role. TF really couldn't run a bath.

Good luck chris. on 11:08 - Nov 5 with 1548 views | DesertBoot | Annual mass changes of playing staff, change of managers, change of coaches, changes of Head Of Academy, change of executives, a Director of Football who knows little about the business side of football. Where is our club going? We didn't have a very good manager but we do have a very good coach - Ramsey should stay in a role suited to him. Seconded his manner throughout press conferences and with the media in general. [Post edited 5 Nov 2015 11:10]

Good luck chris. on 11:26 - Nov 5 with 1500 views | BrianMcCarthy | Can only speak for myself, Clive, but my comments were purely on the human level. I liked the fact that he represented us well and had integrity. Not attacking anyone. If I wanted to do that it's a separate issue and I wouldn't shy away from it.

Good luck chris. on 11:31 - Nov 5 with 1489 views | A40Bosh | I think that the majority of the posts on this thread are not showing an "outpouring of grief" but are just merely and respectfully pointing out that whilst being the wrong man in the wrong place at the wrong time, he tried to step up and did it professionally at all times, but was ultimately found wanting under the harsh spotlight of modern football where "long term" is measured in hours and not years. It's very easy for fans to sit back and throw hand grenades when things are not going well, it's inherent in fans, you should hear my goner brother and his mates moaning about their problems and Man Utd fans when the knives were out for Moyes. It's just I want, want, want, now, now, now. At the end of the day, CR had to go home last night and tell his family that he had been sacked, he will probably look at himself in the bathroom mirror today and tell himself that he is a good coach but it was not his time and the job was too big for him. He then has to decide whether to swallow his pride and return to the club and face the coaching staff and revert back to his old role being seen as a failure in some peoples eyes. He may look for a job elsewhere instead and start again. Regardless of what money people think he was on, is on, it doesn't mean that there is not a 52 year old bloke behind it all who is potentially out of a job today, and we have comedians on here who are suggesting his next job will be serving in McDonalds. The bloke is a "football man" and is respected in the game and will be working again soon if not here, so it is worth pointing out that the guy deserves to be treated as a human being and not some pariah that has deliberately fleeced the owners dishonestly.

Good luck chris. on 11:33 - Nov 5 with 1478 views | Mytch_QPR | If the next man in the revolving door is not as successful will it still be the correct decision? More to the point, if he gets off to a bad / average start how long will he get the support of the 'fans'? I think the big frustration for a lot of posters is that our experiment in 'stability' and 'consolidation' has lasted about 9 months.

Good luck chris. on 14:38 - Nov 5 with 1301 views | GetMeRangers | I am left feeling the same. I have explained to.my young sons what this season would be like and how it would get this club back to being more like the one I knew growing up. While I accept that he was both on a hiding to nothing here, expected to carry the can for everything and not just coaching the first team an maybe had to go, the way the club has handled this has been beyond belief. I just don't feel like taking my sons. They are too young to really understand why and have QPR running through their blood. They just want to see the team play no matter what. Maybe if the fan Base calm down a bit now, then I will reconsider but I don't think things are going to get a whole lot better no matter who is appointed Despite the lacklustre performances and head scratching moments, I have been enjoying this season - one where I can regularly attend - because we appeared to be moving away from the ridiculous model the club has been run on for the past few years... That idea has obviously been scrapped and we are back to short term solutions for the long term problems at the club. Ho hum.... well there is always the social side of going to games
Good luck chris. on 14:39 - Nov 5 with 1299 views | baz_qpr | He could hardly hire a Director of Football and ignore the recommendation. It was LFs decision to appoint

Good luck chris. on 21:48 - Nov 5 with 1087 views | bosh67 | The future is in Chris Ramsey's hands. He may want to take on another challenge or he may revert to staying as a coach and I think being far more suited to being out the limelight. He just wasn't ready for it but he didn't shirk it. I still think he may have over coached and not stood back and let the players find their way. I am relieved he has been stood down. He had half a season in the prem that no one would have wanted and part of a season this term where he just couldn't seem to establish a playing style. It's an ungrateful life being a manager these days. but we do need one with just a bit more experience who understands the attacking history of the club.

Good luck chris. on 22:01 - Nov 5 with 1231 views | AgedR | Clearly, as Ramsey was so utterly inept, any replacement will have us flying, playing attractively and finally bringing the good old days back to Loftus Rd. Clearly.

Good luck chris. on 22:17 - Nov 5 with 1199 views | CHUBBS | This thread is so over dramatic,he either been demoted back to his original position or had his 3 year contract fully paid up,he hasn't died. I like him as a bloke but his management ability wasn't good enough at this level. He's a decent coach, but a dreadful manager, its not because he's black or new to the job,he's just not cut out for it. Very few have the required attributes to succeed in that game so there's nowt to be ashamed of. I hope he stays and gets on with what he's good at,its what he should and would have been doing all along but for a certain bufoon. Dream manager only at QPR
