For the first time ever i'm not looking forward to this derby, more scared as to what the final result could be due to the defensive side of things in recent games. However this is a mini downturn in a good season (so far) and the perfect way to get out of it would be a win against the local rivals!
For me i'd go back to the system which worked well last season.. counter attacking with Hendo and Done except use Mendez-Laing who is perfect for the role IMO.. big built so won't get bullied around and will win a few headers and has electric pace. This guy can win games on his own when his on top form and we've seen glimpses of this in the two games hes featured for more than a cameo appearance. For me try and set out tough to be beaten against Bury and try and catch them on the counter attack!

Yeah i do agree, but on the other hand Calvin has massively improved in the air and winning headers and flicking it on but no one is ever on the end of the flick on.. so even if he was good in the air it wouldn't help much! | |

Tutte, etuhu badly missed in a derby, hussey is top notch from set pieces all missing. Cameron is awesome, hopefully clarke and pope to start and mayor needs to start, on his day he's class but like every flair player goes missing. Vincentti will have a good day if no left sided cover is drafted in . Anyhow 2pts off top spot with top players missing is a top effort | |

I still have the 0-0 with Hogan injured and Hendo sent off as my greatest 'i hate derbies'
This is above the Oldham debacle last season when even jack the kitman hobbled off.
Having said that, my ire at that game is statistically wrong. We lost at Turkey but then won the next 4 games without Hogan. Georgie D even managed to score at Newport so we still had fire power up front. | |
