The performances this season have a lot of similarities with the relegation season from the championship. It's just not the way we've built our teams over the last five or so years. Sonic, I respect your views, you often bring sense and levity to a debate, but this really isn't bed-wetting this time. We are awful. I don't support Saints because I expect them to win or to get trophies, I don't even mind which league we are in, I just want to see us really try and see the team no matter who they are playing against or no matter at which level.
There is something going on at the club, there has to be, or why else would we have allowed the dismantling of the team like this, bought in so many average imports and put in performances in like this when we tried so hard to qualify.
If the club is in some sort of trouble, then tell us and then we can understand why and deal with it altogether, but they keep telling us all is fine - but it clearly isn't. Even Koeman who I rate highly, seems to have lost the fight. | | | |

I'm not that bothered we lost. On performances so far we are not good enough to play week in week out in both Europe and the Premier League.
What shocks me tonight though is the way we played. Why play hoof it up aimlessly when you are playing a team that technically you are better than. It plays into their hands. Why RK didn't think we are good enough to play through them is beyond me.
The next week is crucial. If Mane and Wanyama are sold then I wouldn't be suprised to see Koeman leave. Call it bedwetting but you can't keep selling until your entire team is gone. | |
