I think I've watched every premier league game Saints have played in the past two seasons, I've only missed a couple of cup games.
I'd take the Bielsa/Barca style of play of last season, with a quality English spine and 8th place, than the Mourinho/George Graham style of this season with a 7th place finish.
I think we've got a manager that isn't capable of getting more from his players than he is, a board that won't pay to get him a better group & fans that will only admit all this in five years time. All of which is a more grim outlook than I had last spring.
Genuinely, the best way of us improving next season is for Ronald Koeman to start reacting to what is happening on the pitch. Like MoPo, he seems to be world class on the training pitch & useless on matchdays. I think he's influenced the game from the touchline once this season that I can remember and that's when he brought on Shane Long at home to the Foxes. Other than that, it seems as though he makes every call completely ignoring form. Pelle again today, was an absolute shambles. An embaressment to a Vanarama division side. Technique that a proffessional footballer should be ashamed of & managing to get caught offside so many times in a short space of time the commentary team thought it might be a record. What happens? He plays 90 minutes. Again! The team fails to score. Again! Ronald Koeman has to have something up his sleeve next year. If we don't keep Toby, we'll need to sort out the attack just to tread water. The frustration comes from seeing the same mistakes and the missed opportunties. Last season I felt that we were getting the best we could out of that group. Since the home game against Arsenal I don't think I've felt that this season at all.
For me, I'd say this was my fourth best Saints supporting year. After WGS, the Championship promotion year, last year & then this one.
Is this a wind up? The first team lost so many of its players along with the manager before the season had even started. We ended 7th and won 80 million for doing so, beat a team 8-0 and won our last home game 6-1, yes what a 'Crappest season ever'

This must be a joke. It's been an excellent season with way more ups than downs. It's only our third season back and already we're pretty well established as a top 10 team. Either this is a wind-up or we have some bona fide fruitloops in our fanbase.
