Fans to be breathalysed before matches on 12:23 - May 2 with 3315 views | KenBoon | Are there drunken brawls IN grounds every week? I actually think drunk fans shouldn't be allowed in, but football culture seems to be hammering down a few pints before kick off. A better idea would be to licence areas of the ground so people can watch and drink, but, be more strict on ejecting for being drunk. It'll help solve the binge drinking pre match and half time. If rugger and boxing crowds can drink and watch, then there's no reason that Football fans shouldn't. THE TRUTH finally outed and we know Hillsborough hasn't caused by drunken behaviour. There is no reason for banning alcohol now. Licence part of the ground (seated, easily controlled and not the family stand) and stewards can police it. The extra money from booze would more than pay for it. | | | |
