I see the reason for their withdrawal of sponsorship has become clearer.

£40 million losses.

Turns out they accidentally borrowed a fiver off themselves.

Maybe Segesta can give them a short term loan?

Nice one Wizz but a rather jaundiced view (smiley)

Real fans go to pubs like the HITW or the Welly

Looking at the advertising hoardings in the ground at the last match, most are nationwide companies - probably as a result of central sponsorship for Championship clubs. I'm not sure how many of them sponsor at lower league levels and with local businesses probably wary of sponsoring in the current climate, I think we'll see some blank boards next season.

There are plenty of blank boards now - they just happen to be covered up by ads for the hotel.

You do have to wonder about sponsorship and advertising next season. I recently spoke to someone who owns a company that has supported Blackpool FC for many years now and he said he was thinking twice about renewing any agreement with them. Said they will take it up to the last moment and see what discount they get but also gauge the mood of the fans
