Landore Station Stop 17:07 - Apr 12 with 15127 viewsturkontour

Recently ive read about parking issues / parking tickets etc Sorry if this has been raised and or discussed before but what about the train stopping at Landore on natch days? Even if it was 1 train on way up from West Wales and one from East and similarly on way back? Still p's me off on natch day travelling on train from Llanelli and either passing Landore or being on stop and bang there's the ground up and over the foorbridge etc?

It's ludicrous that a new stadium was built right next to a main railway line and no station was built to serve it.

The new investors are building it.

Joe_bradshaw -I thought the cryochamber was the new name for Cardiff's stadium.

Probably be the only option.

Although It has been stated some years ago that costs being millions to have a station at Landore, to just being used once a fortnight.

Don't think the Trust have a few millions hanging around in the kitty though.

Don't get why this comes up so often. I regularly get the train down to the Liberty and can be back well in time for the 1728 service. I never leave before the final whistle either and am near the north-east corner so at the wrong end of the ground entirely for the train station.

The transport links to and from the liberty are something from the third world. Shocking.

Yes, I take a rickshaw myself.

And sometimes, I must confess, before I board I can't help wishing that the man in front has lalophobia.

No issues, with times of trains getting back home after a 3pm ko but just the fact of a 20/25 minute walk by Landore adjacent to the railway line that takes me home? Never mind I'm just a footie fan after all ;)

I recall it was part of the original plan.
But that was also at a time when Swansea City Council were talking about rejuvenating the centre and having a traffic flow plan.

Travel back to the further flung locations, especially after evening/Sunday games is f*cking atrocious. Mind you, it's not great at the best of times.

Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Someone should suggest a monorail.

I want a mate like Flashberryjacks, who wears a Barnsley jersey with "Swans are my second team" on the back.

I'm travelling from just the other side of Newtown so a short delay doesn't make much difference to me but must be a sod for local people or those wanting to connect to other transport in town.

It may well be on some agendas soon,if not monorail, using existing rail lines (light rail) system.

If the same knob head planner ever gets involved in this, the one who did the bus lanes on the Kingsway we will have Fcking trains stopping on top of the WestStand in both directions.

It's not as if there has never been a stop at Landore, hardly a new idea !
Maybe we can have a loan like the cricket ?

The joys of neo-liberalism.. Why invest in beneficial infrastructure when we can pay out dividends to shareholders?

If you want a vision of the future, imagine a boot stamping on a human face--forever.

what, that "loan" from Cardiff Council that was waived to stop the cricket club from going under, lets apply, if its ok for a business that mismanage their resources then surely it should be easier for a well run club, then wright it off, lets do it eh!
