Official site 18:37 - Mar 12 with 3169 views | 442Dale | Good to read about the youth team doing well, nice of Fleetwood to let us know about their excellent pre-match facility and there's the positive news about the appointment of the new Sales and Marketing Manager. That's three stories on there this week. Anyone spotted anything else?

Official site on 19:47 - Mar 12 with 3034 views | zxcvbnm | It was posted earlier this week that Leighanne is away. I know the club hasn't very many full time employees but you would think they'd be a contingency plan for this very occurrence so that the os doesn't look incompetent.

Official site on 21:03 - Mar 12 with 2872 views | 100notout | Since this is on the Trust's website, I wonder what their thoughts are on the matter? Might be me TVOS but several times now on here you seem to have been having a dig at the Trust. Do you have a problem with them?

Official site on 21:06 - Mar 12 with 2862 views | TVOS1907 | Not at all, but I think it's a valid question as they were promised this in good faith by the club back in August. [Post edited 12 Mar 2015 21:09]

Official site on 21:19 - Mar 12 with 2827 views | 442Dale | The work of the Consultation Group is something I mentioned when talking to the Trust about setting up a meeting at some stage in the future with the new Marketing Manager, if only to stop us all bloody moaning! Now she's been appointed she'll no doubt have loads of her own ideas once settled in, those along with a review of the subjects in the link might ensure these same problems don't keep cropping up.

Official site on 21:22 - Mar 12 with 2820 views | Stockyhargreave | Well called 100notout. Same as 442Dale's opening post. Little digs at the club/trust where possible.
Official site on 21:29 - Mar 12 with 2803 views | 442Dale | As I've pointed out to the Trust regularly, there is a lot of positivity amongst the fanbase that can be tapped into. See the efforts put in by the Consultation Group. If this work is then not followed up upon, should it be ignored or raised as an issue which will then hopefully be addressed to the benefit of supporters, and more importantly the club we support? I'd rather the OS was as good as it is usually, but this week it hasn't been. There are enough examples when the work of the club/Trust have been given due credit on here - most recently the excellent insight into what goes on at Spotland via the 'Questions to the Board' meeting the Trust set up and reported back on very effectively.

Official site on 21:40 - Mar 12 with 2758 views | TVOS1907 | Actually, I've come to an arrangement with the Trust to help them promote their work more effectively. In addition, the link posted above was from their own website and the contents of it came about because Trust directors and some fans gave freely of their own time (and still do) for the betterment of other fans. That some contents of that link have not been followed is worthy of comment, especially in view of the threads on this board about crowd figures, atmosphere, the manager's dig at the 1900 fans there last Tuesday and the appointment of a new Marketing Manager and part of her remit.

Official site on 21:45 - Mar 12 with 2739 views | Stockyhargreave | Both yourself and TVOS know exactly what you are doing. It's not the actual process of raising these questions. It's the manner in which you do it. Smug and patronising and with the purpose of raising your message board profile and perception whilst undermining certain people within the club. Glad 100notout finally called it.
Official site on 21:47 - Mar 12 with 2730 views | 442Dale | This week's appointment has been a real positive for the club. As was posted earlier in the week, the article on the OS was great to read and I think all fans should have high hopes for the future. If anything, I felt pointing out how little has been on the OS this week was slightly contradictory to my positivity around the appointment, but it's an example of where some work could be improved going forward.

Official site on 21:51 - Mar 12 with 2706 views | tazzydjr | Not to intrude but i still think hill's dig about 1900 odd fans were aimed more at the people incharge upstairs making lack of promotion on the back of the gold mine from the fa cup because as if by magic this Marketing Manager is finally made official?

Official site on 21:52 - Mar 12 with 2703 views | TVOS1907 | You could be right, Taz. His comments are very cryptic and not always easy to decipher.

Official site on 21:54 - Mar 12 with 2694 views | 442Dale | If raising issues on here improves anything, then hopefully it's seen as making some sort of progression - see the Questions to the Board where different fans stuck questions on here, they were collated, sent in and answered. I'll take the criticism on the chin though, but with most things I've posted on here, it's with a genuine desire to make things better. How I'm perceived is up to others, but it's done with the right intentions.

Official site on 22:07 - Mar 12 with 2649 views | Stockyhargreave | So the question about anyone spotting anything else on the website was genuine? A website that you have clearly been on. Why would you need to ask anyone what they have seen, it's there for you to see yourself? You have some cracking ideas 442Dale but the tone in which you raise certain issues does not represent well and comes across as condescending at times. Just come out and say you feel there have been a lack of stories, rather than dressing it up as a question for the MB. [Post edited 12 Mar 2015 22:08]

Official site on 02:51 - Mar 13 with 2373 views | Porlicks | Am I alone in being a little apprehensive about employing a full/time marketing manager? For 2 main reasons: 1) Over the last 12 months I've read the following complaints on here (off the top of my head): Ticketing Fixtures board Turnstiles Beer prices & quality Tannoy Pitch covers Negative comments from the manager Official website No food & beverage available in ground How much control will a marketing manager have over these things? All of them either directly or indirectly affect the match day experience of a paying customer. We can point to the product on the pitch as being the most important, but that's the one thing you can't guarantee the quality of week in week out. If you are brining new customers to the ground, you've got to get everything right or you'll lose them forever. 2) Won't the marketing manager be used as a scapegoat for when attendances don't go up? And also for any other problems that might arise at the club. Somebody forgets to update the website - "Why are we paying for a marketing manager?"; A group of fans didn't get a text message about the latest promotion - "Why are we paying for a marketing manager?" The marketing of the club is the responsibility of any employee who either directly or indirectly deals with the public, i.e. almost every single one of them. Every person working for the club has an opportunity to market the product, and it's that which we should be looking to improve, not just lumping the responsibility onto one person. I'm sure the new marketing manager knows all this, I just wish her luck in achieving it.

Official site on 11:47 - Mar 13 with 2143 views | DorsetDale | Good questions Porlicks. Can write on half a pin head what I know about marketing (the other half being reserved for what I know about football) However, I'm guessing the answers depend somewhat on how small/large a team (or indeed any) she has working under/with her and how good her delegation skills are. Personality and powers of persuasion will also have a great deal of influence, let's hope she has these skills in abundance.
