The Republican race is wide open. I'd like to seeRand Paul myself. Time ran something on him last year and he had some excellent ideas on simplifying the tax regimes I think we should incorporate here

10% Income tax flat across the board. 10% VAT, 10% Business tax on turnover rather than profit. This way you don't need a cumbersome tax system and no one can evade or 'avoid' their taxes
Edit - actually the 10/10/10 might not have been his vision. I can't remember the exact details of the magazine story just remember thinking at the time what an excellent idea for a simplified taxation system [Post edited 10 Mar 2015 16:37]

abetted by the Latino voting patterns.
The economy is pretty good for investments, getting better for employment and housing. The Republicans really have to focus on social issues and scandals.
One of the things I find most intriguing is that one of the most socially conservative groups is the Latino group, Catholic and poorly educated, they are naturally republican.
