Can't help but feel a bit sad mind. I don't really care about his future now, but I do hope he's at least not consigned to their dustbin if he doesn't hit it off straight away. I'd be disappointed at anything less than £30m up front to be honest, and even that isn't a great amount for what he is. As others have pointed out, other players who haven't/dont score as many as Wilf have gone for the same or more than this. Difficult position for our club to be in i suppose, Wilf has now had his head firmly turned, so us calling off the deal for a couple of mill would be detrimental to Wilf and the club in my opinion. We move on again though i suppose. | |
