Today in 1977 on 13:45 - Oct 31 with 473 views | PatfromPoole | One of the best bands I saw at the Joiners was in 1994; S*M*A*S*H, who were touted as the big thing from The New Wave Of New Wave by the NME, Melody Maker etc. It was a riotous gig. Was a top day, as I'm sure it was the same day we beat Villa 4-1 at the end of the 93/94 season the week before the 3-3 at West Ham. Abiding memory of the Villa game was Batman and Robin chasing one of our players (Maddison?) after he scored at the Archers end. Good band, though, S*M*A*S*H. | |
