Like the rumour that his predecessor had fallen out with Canas after United as he did not play him after that game. QED no one can manage Canas (this as a repost for the stick Garry was being given for not reintegrating Canas - and supposedly a compliment! to Laudrup).
Truth was no one could play a badly injured player who was taken off at OT and out for 4 weeks. Unfortunately previous managers remaining tenure did not encompass such a period. That was another obviously totally false trash rumour to discredit one who achieved so much for us and a good Spanish player?
That is why we needed Ki back. Reported in the paper words to the effect that although Huw said last week we had until the 31st Jan, on checking (after the extent of the Canas injury became known) it seems we could not bring him back without Sunderland's agreement.
