And he'd be mental not to. Even if it doesn't work out. he'd be a strange 21 year old if he didn't champ at the bit to get to a potential CL challenger on, say 45K a week and a 4 year contract. Even if he turned into another SS21 he'd be mental not to. Who knows what could happen in a year. I'm a Swansea fan and if it were me I'd be gone like a Ledley up a drainpipe.
The only question is can we get what we want. If not, his wishes should carry no weight whatsoever, just as Taylor and Rangel's (and Bodde's) wishes didn't before him. | |

Thing is if we sell Taylor and then Ben has a good season, he'll have clubs trying to sign him again because he's 21/22, and we'll be without a left back.
There's not a difference between the two, maybe Ben is better going forward and Taylor better defensively but it's not a lot. | | | |

Indeed - people are saying Ben would get about 35k per week, which may be a low estimate. Yet it is an interesting question as to how much more you need to earn to have the same standard of living in London. Particularly if married with a family, how much does it cost to have the equivalent of a nice house on Gower and your children in Bishopston or Olchfa School? I'm not sure that the gain is a huge as some think. It may be different if you are a lad of 20 into clubbing. | | | |
