The problem was, the change in the style of play meant Medel was far more isolated in his role the second half of the season. Did his form dip? Yes. No doubt about that, it didn't help when the rest of the midfield went missing. | |

I'm surprised that he wasn't tried by Gunnar Graham in defence or, by the Malkman, as a sweeper behind his 9 man defence.
After all, he was a wheezing slow fat poodle in the midfield and Cardiff's usual defence was so cack anyway. I suppose on that basis though, they could just as well have tried him up front. [Post edited 29 Jun 2014 15:54]

I don't know why The Dwarves are getting so touchy on the subject of Medel. Yes, he has had a great World Cup playing in a system that suited his team, but he'd be crucified playing that role in The Premier League.
