New Quay-West Wales 14:31 - Jun 22 with 3494 views | WinchWenJack | Looking at booking a short break, any suggestions for things to do/see, not looking at sitting on the beach. Don't mind travelling an hour or so up or down the coast. Anything historic or nature based would be ideal. Thanks.

New Quay-West Wales on 15:13 - Jun 22 with 3462 views | Darran | A penguin is driving along, eating an ice cream, when his car starts making a funny noise. He decides to stop off at the local garage. The polar bear mechanic lifts the bonnet, pokes around, then shakes his head. Looking up at the driver he says, 'Looks like you've blown a seal, mate!' 'Nah.' says the penguin. 'I've been eating ice cream.'

New Quay-West Wales on 15:34 - Jun 22 with 3448 views | lifelong | On a nice day a trip along the Gwaun Valley from Fishguard is a good day out.It will take you to the top of the Preselli Mountains, the site of the origin of the Stonehenge blue stone. There's a excellent view from up there on a clear day. There's a pub in the locality called the Tafarn Zinc which does good food. It's a beautiful area and well worth a visit.

New Quay-West Wales on 11:22 - Jun 23 with 3268 views | Morganator100 | You could charter a boat to see the dolphins which are off the New Quay coast. Also 20 min up the road you have the seaside resort of Aberaeron with Harbourmaster Hotel for food and the award winning Honey Ice cream on the seafront. Aberystwyth is another 20 min up the coast road. Head inland and you have the Cambrian Mountains up at Tregaron with the Talbot Hotel for food. Going south you have Mwnt, also Tresaith and the Ship Inn pub. You also have the Ceredigion Coastal Path with scenic views.
