Another questions could be "Any ideas how anyone thinks we could play both in a CAM role without them getting in each other's way"
One of the problems with the Laudrup model was having the wingers too narrow resulting in too many players in and around the box getting in each others way and making the area too congested. Not sure picking a formation that would directly contribute to that possibility would work.

Michu and Pabs will be tripping over each other, you can add Bony into that as well, like when Michu and Bony played together before Michu's injury, chuck Pabs in there as well and it'll be carnage. | |

You can't. No reason why you can't play him on the wing but tucked in, a bit like an old fashioned inside forward (which has been his normal position). Both DMs play deep for this so one can cover when Ben bombs forward.

Although I think Bony has the makings of a good player, I can't see how we can use Michu and Pablo to their potential while Bony is playing. Pablo is good in the AM role when he can play balls through into space for players to run on to and Michu is best arriving late in to space. The problem is that Bony doesn't move around enough, especially sideways, to create any space. If Michu plays with another forward, then that forward needs to create space. | | | |

Agree.
For the rest of this season I would play either Bony or Michu up top with Pabs behind. Bony or Michu to come on depending who starts when we need to change things around. For the teams where we need to have more midfield depth I would play a false 9 and start with Michu (Everton/Arsenal).
Then maybe maybe next season whoever the manager is can work in pre-season on a system to use them both. Too late to experiment now IMO but what the feck do I know ! | | | |

I think I'd still go with Tayls on the left.
Ben looks tired. Fair play he's had a helluva season and is still a growing lad.
Pablo playing AM until about 60 mins then bringing Michu on or vice versa? Not sure both could play without getting in each others way.

Could I ask you why you would put Canas in the team ahead of both Leon & deGuz? These guys are the oil in our machine and we are a more fluid team when one or the other, or even both, are in the side. Also, over the past 6 weeks or so, de Guzman has been our best goalscorer. If you only have room for 1 of the 3, Canas would be my 3rd choice. I'm not saying you're wrong because I'm sure you have your reasons but I don't get it. | | | |
