one match bans 18:12 - Mar 18 with 1716 views

If a player is sent off in the first minute of a game and then misses the next game he effectively misses two games.
If a player is sent off in added time at the end of a game and then misses the next game he effectively misses one games.

This doesn't seem fair so how about banning for so many minutes and allow the player to come on as a sub mid-way through a game.

The earlier suggestion was a though on making the game fairer.
A bit like making players immediately retreat 10 yards that didn't work either because top teams didn't like levelling the playing field - watch top 6 control games through slowing games down, knowing when to surround a ref and where and when they foul (hence the difference in yellow cards we seem to pick up compared to teams we have seen kick 9 bells out of players).

How about players don't commit fouls that get them sent off - would that be fair???

You want to make the game fairer, by helping players get less of a ban for committing dangerous tackles, deliberate handballs etc?

Not what I posted but hey ho!

Player A gets sent off after 2 minutes for hand ball and misses a game he's effectively missed two games.
Player B gets sent off after 90 minutes for hand ball and misses a game he's effectively missed one game.

So to even things up
player A would get one match and two minutes
Player B would get one match plus 90 minutes

Same for current 3 match ban but with minutes added to the 3 match ban.
