I think we're all just making suggestions for a vacancy that isn't there. Although not explicitly stating it so as not to put too much pressure on him, I'm sure the board see Monk as the new manager, full stop. For the 'foreseeable future' is a good fudge to cover themselves both ways.
Things would obviously change if things go majorly pear-shaped, but that's the same with anyone in charge.

Bit of an odd one this....
If as seems likely GM is in until the seasons end the only way we will get a new manager is if we are relegated.
What happens if GM keeps us up then badly looses his way in the early part of next season?
Anyway ,I really really like the sound of this Clement fella,ticks all the boxes for me.
British,spent entire career in a coaching role,rated highly at Chelsea,PSG and Real Madrid,has learnt from a top manager in Ancellotti and speaks Spanish.
