Do you think this might bring more harmony then Darran? It seems like our players were more comfortable with face stroking than cold fishery. Funny enough I thought that when they were throwing him up at Wembley that it just didn't look 'right'. Easy to say now I know but it's true. | |

I remember you saying maybe the day after the league cup win that it was weird how he didn't even look happy to win, or didn't want to be a part of the celebrations.
I was in London last year at the same time as the Champions League final. He played that legends game near the Olympic stadium and I took my young brother and nephew to see him play. After the game he was doing interviews and we were no more than 20 feet away from him behind the cameras shouting and waving at him asking him to sign our jerseys.
Completely ignored us.
I've got pictures of him looking right at us as he's talking so he knew we were there. My brother and nephew waving their jerseys at him, even had one of the camera crew to run up to him with the shirts and a sharpie and he just looked at it and walked away. Boys were gutted, we were the only Swansea fans around too. | |

Hmmm, he was a hugely talented footballer but sometimes the most talented are.......eccentric!!
His management style will be ripped to shreds on here I'm sure. I've already had more than one go. And there'll be the usual revisionism from people who won't admit they were wrong, and others who will claim they were right all along.
When it comes down to it, he's a cold fish. He occasionally let the facade slip but mostly he stifled his emotions. I think that lack of energy and passion is, in part, the reason why we have been so poor. And his negative attitude when we play big teams.
But we still had a legend of world football in charge of our team, a first major trophy and Europa league football.....for better or for worse!
