Striker Connor Wickham will miss the first six weeks of the season having injured his ankle in training yesterday.
The 17-year-old left Playford Road with a cast on his ankle and is not expected to play for the Blues until September.
Wickham’s absence leaves Town short on attacking options with Jon Stead expected to be joining Bristol City, Kevin Lisbie also expected to be on his way, Pablo Couñago out of favour and Tamás Priskin continuing to misfire in training.
