When you have Peter Clarke as a loan striker, you know the time is up, the season can't end quick enough and records will be broken. Apparently it's 106 years since the last time Blackpool failed to win away from home in a season but the class of 2014/15 have matched that. One more game to go until this torturous affair is over and the fans get to pass judgement on the Chairman.
Good to see Bright Samuels given a run out at the start of this game but as has been proven many times this season, Alan Hansen was right all along and you can't win matches with kids. Joe Mason's early strike fired the hosts into the lead, with Doyle doubling their advantage after Henry Cameron had fouled Aron Gunnarsson.
Andrea Orlandi's goal gave the visitors hope of mounting a comeback, but Doyle killed off their chances following Miles Addison's foul on Mason before Peter Clarke's late consolation.
Lee Clark must know this appalling run of form will put huge pressures on his shoulders at the start of next season and if Blackpool don't get off to a good start he'll be the favourite to be the first manager to be issued with a P45 next season.
