| Your Report | Hull City v Southampton Your Report added at 19:20:23 Watched it in a live feed. But only H2. And yes our defence certainly looked well dodgy at times. But what was really impressive was the way we battered Hull for most of the last quarter. And it finally paid off with a goal which they can all be really proud of. Are we starting to like serious contenders for a top 3/4 spot? Well maybe. But when I look at how badly last season’s promotions are doing, we have to improve a whole lot more to even have a chance of staying in the PL assuming we get a chance of doing so. |
| Your Report | Southampton v Leeds United Your Report added at 16:23:45 Leeds played us really badly and gave us shed loads of room in H1. So we had room for our tippy tappy and didn’t come unstuck. And stone me three goals! But when they started to close us down in H2 we looked very vulnerable. Still we kept them out. And a win is a win Manning is poor, why we stick with him I just don’t know. KWP had one very good run but the rest of the time just looked a lazy fvcker who needs a kick up the arse. And as for Smallbone Christ knows how he scored because the rest of the time he was worse than useless. RM has bought himself some breathing space but I can’t help but feel we won despite him rather than because of him. |
| Your Report | Middlesbrough v Southampton Your Report added at 09:12:29 Watching the game on a live feed, you would almost think that we were playing quite well. But it was clear what Boro was doing which was allowing us control of the midfield. And yes the moves that lead to Adam A’s goal were really good and impressive. Dare one say it almost PL standard. But then Boro, who had been patiently waiting for us to cock it up, which Holgate duly did, pounced and that was it. (Him and Ryan Manning make some of those idiotic purchases in the Gao era look positive bargains). And then we went to pieces, ok there were the occasional flurries but it was only a matter of time before another piece of stupidity and it’s Night Night. So where does that leave us? Well I reckon, ridiculous though it may sound, but yesterday showed we are now talking about a relegation fight; because if Rissoll Martin really thinks that the scars of last season are the reason we are playing so badly, logically why should they go away anytime soon? The fact that he (and a number of the squad) is considerably below the talent level required is the real reason and only makes it worse. FOR GOD’S SAKE THIS MAN IS UTTERLY USELESS AND HAS TO BE FIRED…NOW PS. I think that most people would say Burnley were one of the best champions for many a season. But look at the struggles they are having now in the PL. Meanwhile some were talking about us being promotion candidates… Perhaps it shows more than anything else how for a long time we were carried by one player, namely JWP, and until someone else like him comes around we are condemned to mediocrity or probably worse. |
| Your Report | Leeds United v Southampton Your Report added at 19:01:47 Leeds are a terrible side; the trouble is we are worse. We may flatter to deceive but unless we have more than our fair share of luck- like we did against Chelsea - there is no way we are going to avoid the drop because we simply don’t have the class. Were we as committed as we were last week? Didn't look like it but then Leeds were much more in our faces than Chelsea, not so many prima donnas trying to be pretty. And therein lies at least one of our problems: if we had top skills we could waltz our way out of trouble. But without them we have to mix it and yet we don’t seem to have that mindset. In other words, we are screwed. The next PL home game v Leicester will be interesting… |
| Your Report | Chelsea v Southampton Your Report added at 18:25:51 WOWWEE! WHAT A GAME!!! So many good things but the most obvious was that they played as if a huge weight had been lifted from their shoulders. The great escape can’t really be on, can it?! |

| Your Report | Southampton v Brighton and Hove Albion Your Report added at 17:23:39 When faced with a well organised team that PRESSES we have no idea how to play. And today we were made to look positively…average. I couldn’t believe the possession stats. Nathan Jones is clearly a disaster. After several weeks in charge he has managed to instil in the players…ABSOLUTELY NOTHING, unless you count the ability to give the ball away more and defend worse than earlier in the season . For the first time I now cannot see us going anywhere but south. The Championship is a given. The question now is will we even be able to stay there? |

| Your Report | Liverpool v Southampton Your Report added at 20:04:51 As most probably realise the last time we were in the bottom three at Christmas we were relegated. And with players like Adam Armstrong in the team, the championship will be a perfect place for us. |

| Your Report | Southampton v Manchester City Your Report added at 18:29:03 Once again Salisu made a complete f**ck up. By giving away a penalty when we were more or less holding our own directly led to the flood gates opening. When will people realise that his good play is far far exceeded by his cock ups. HE IS A LIABILITY AND FAR TOO RISKY FOR THIS TEAM. HE MUST BE BENCHED AND PDQ |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 18:50:29 What a rubbish game: newcastle were really terrible, especially in mid field, its just that, Alex McCarthy apart, we were not much if any better. I just got the impression that both sides rather wished they were anywhere other than playing football Yan Valery has proven today he is a lamb in a new-born lamb’s clothing, Christ what an absurd goal for him to give away, especially after all than defending we did with 10 men. But I’m not sure about the red card; yes Moussa trod on his foot but I couldn’t see how he could possibly have avoided it. One final point: before the KO, we were plum bottom of the league for home games; guess where we are now.... Squeaky bum time it sure is... |
| Your Report | Oldham Athletic v Salford City Your Report added at 19:00:25 Painful, embarrassing and one can only surmise from the game that WE ARE DOOMED. Hassenrubbish HAS TO GO. Now having lost 4 games in a row, if he doesn’t get sacked, how many games will we need to lose before he is does? 5? 6? 25? What is so depressing is that so many players do the basics wrong. and that has to be the manager’s fault. Whether or not he would be any good with a better team is a moot point but he simply isn’t any good for us in the black place we are right now. We need someone to really kick arse. RH is not that man, period. |
