I was driving home from work when I heard the news on the radio. Bloody awful. Always enjoyed his popcorn flicks. |

There are a number of reasons. I think the main problem has been they all believe their own bllsht and think they only have to turn up to collect the gold. Some seem to be in London for a holiday and the piss-on once they get their event out of the way. Some have been sat up on Facebook and twitter when they should be resting before their event, talking up how they will win. They've lacked focus and haven't learnt from early mistakes. The media here have been making all kinds of excuses. Others are cheating e.g dolphin kicks in the swimming. Others are on drugs. The Brits are unsporting. The Crowd have been "one-eyed" and aggressive to other nations. Some Brits aren't actually Brits and shouldn't be competing. Think of an excuse and the media have used it. Personally I've found it incredibly entertaining. I got so much sht after the first couple of days and they'd won their only gold in the swimming. Now no-one at work wants to talk about it anymore. Love it. |

.. I have to admit I've been very blinkered post season and haven't really followed what any of the other teams outside the top six have been doing. Have any of the other mid-to-low table sides strengthened significantly? Stoke, West Brom, Everton, Villa etc .. Has anyone else been spending? |
| Forum Reply | QPR bid farewell to Kenny the Moneyball goalkeeper at 09:08 12 Jul 2012
According to NW he wouldn't have swapped him for anyone currently on our books ... I'm calling bullshit.... GAFFER GETS HIS MAIN MAN! United manager Neil Warnock firmly believes he has made one of most important signings with the arrival of Paddy Kenny at Elland Road. The experienced goalkeeper completed his switch from Queens Park Rangers on Wednesday when he signed a three-year contract and one of the worst kept secrets in football was confirmed when Paddy became a Leeds United player. "I don't think you can keep secrets at Leeds United," laughed the United manager. "Somebody knows everything! "We've worked very hard with this one. It's taken some time to get over the line, but I think he's the most important signing I'll make while I'm at Leeds United. I rate him that highly, and I think the fans will see why." Paddy made 33 Premier League appearances for QPR last season and kept a club record clean sheets during the Londoners promotion season in 2010/11. "I didn't think we'd be able to get him," conceded the boss. "There's no way I would have let him go. I wouldn't have swapped him for anybody they have on their books. "I think he's a great keeper. He's one of the best in the country, not just the Championship. "We are delighted to get him. He's a northern lad, he knows what a pull Leeds is and he knows all about it. "We've had our moments over the years, but we respect each other and that's why he always been the main man I've wanted to sign. We've had to put others on hold, because I wanted to get this one over the line." The United boss is also anticipating making further additions to his squad following the return to pre-season on Wednesday. "We have a number where we have made offers and all sorts of things where we're trying to do deals," he explained. "I'd like to bring in a few others, ideally before we go to Cornwall, but we'll see. "We're looking all over the place. Every area, we're looking to bring other players in. I'll move on to my next main target now and see if we can secure him over the next few days and the squad will take shape towards the kick-off." |

The house shook! Registered at 5.2! Lots of lovely hairline cracks on the wall now. Great. |

I'm in Melbourne and have lived here since 2000. It's definitely worth a long weekend if you can manage it. It's great for food, music, sport, shopping and all the usual tourist type shenanigans. |
| Forum Reply | Has anyone ever been a mascot? at 13:35 6 Jun 2012
I was a mascot twice, both games. My name appeared in the Palace programme, the mascot info was scrubbed out for the Cambridge game. My grandad worked with Jim Gregory match days. |

This is me front and centre leading the team out. My dad is on the left kneeling take photos. Jim Gregory is on the right with his back to the camera. So this was in 82 and either against Palace in the FA Cup quarter final or last game of the season against Cambridge. Anyone else? |

When you have the ipod connected to itunes look at the song you're having trouble with and either right click (peecee) or Apple symbol+i (mac) ... in the settings there is the ability to set the start and finish times for a song. This is actually a good way to make your own ringtones. Does this show 0.00 to the end of the track? Just a thought ... |
