Are you just talking about the athletics stadium or the whole site? Are Brent council looking to offload it then?

In that case:

Yes, a good album, they'd only got the two songs together in the can (Back Together Again and another Stevie song 'You Are My Heaven') before tragically Donny took his own life.

This is my favourite Roberta Flack song. Written by the genius Mr Wonder who is also playing keys with Luther Vandross on backing vox.

Oh no, I hadn't realised that, that's sad. Now I've read that he was only diagnosed with cancer a couple of months ago.

By the way, Chris Jasper did a lot more in the Isley Brothers than just play keyboards and sing backing vocals.

In their 70s pomp he was actually the principal songwriter so he would have primarily written 'Highways of my Life', 'Harvest For The World' amongst other brilliant songs but it was decided that when the three younger members joined officially in 1973 that the songs would be credited to all six members regardless who had written it.

It was down to this tight control that the older Isleys had over the band regarding songwriting royalties, lead vocals etc that led to the younger three splitting to form Isley-Jasper-Isley.

The pïss stain coloured kit

You're absolutely right, I stand corrected.

We played at the SW6 cesspit on 25th August 1993 in our second away game of that season and lost 2-0. It must have been after this game that Gerry binned it off thinking it was unlucky after losing twice conceding six goals.

Still got mine. I always thought those View From shirts were very good quality, weren't prone to threading.

Not won in it.

Gerry Francis in 1993 ditched our first all black kit after one disastrous outing wearing it, a 4-1 gubbing at Villa Park first game of the season, thinking it was unlucky and it never saw the light of day again. We replaced it with the all red kit we won at St James's Park in later that season.

If I was Marti, I'd insist that when the hoops can't be worn, the black kit is worn.

I absolutely hate that piss stained coloured kit. Have we even picked up a point wearing it this season?

Yes, Ticer Thomas part of the West Auckland team that won the first 'World Cup' before the first World War.

A TV film in the early 80s was made about it starring Dennis Waterman & Tim Healy. Dave's grandad was played in it by David 'Dai' Bradley (Billy Casper from 'Kes').
