In the normal scheme of things you'd be correct but with the Senedd holding farmers to ransom that to continue to receive grants they have to turn 20% of their land to plant trees , regarding solar farms , don't think arable land is worth more than a solar farm because in a lots of cases it isn't. There's marginally less greenfield sites being built on than brownfield sites
Brownfield land:
The Government defines brownfield land as developed land, that is, or was previously, occupied by a permanent structure.
Brownfield land accounts for 8.7%of land in England and 54% of all new homes in 2021/22 were built on brownfield land.
The National Planning Policy Framework (NPPF) and Homes England’s Strategic Plan 2023-2028 prioritise brownfield development to better utilise existing land in built-up areas and to preserve undeveloped land.
Greenfield land: Greenfield typically refers to land which has not been developed. The vast majority of land in England is greenfield land, accounting for 91.1% of land across the country. In 2021/22, 46% of new homes were built on greenfield land.

Re election

I see that an online petition to call for another general election has now reached a million votes , not going to happen but a more oil on the fire of Starmer's tenure .

"An online petition calling for another general election to be held has surpassed 1 million signatures after thousands more signed it every minute.

The call to action was started by small business owner Michael Westwood four days ago. Mr Westwood told the Express he thinks voters feel "betrayed" by Labour and that the "promises that were told" ahead of the July election "looking nothing like" the reality.

Described as Britain's fastest-ever growing petition by commentators, the campaign has been backed by a number of political figures including Reform UK leader Nigel Farage, who said he had "never seen anything like it" after watching 750,000 signees add their names in just 24 hours.

Former Tory leadership contender Robert Jenrick said: "Over a million people have now expressed their fury that Labour lied at the general election.

"Starmer shamelessly said one thing to get elected and has done the complete opposite once in power. Nobody will ever trust a word he says again."

What people don't realise is if all the Inheritance tax is paid today from all the farms it would cover the costs of the migrants for about one day. So am I right in thinking that the farmers are the biggest problem not the illegal migrant

Nearly all of the east stand from the 18 yard back to the goal line disagreed , vehemently.
My son who watched it on the TV thought the 3rd was marginally , I thought 3rd and 4th were but in fairness to Leeds thy were so quick to break I was glad I didn't have to make that call.

Was Ken Gude in Swansea working on the buyout?

Its the fact that he continues to belittle and insult fellow posters because of a different pov is something which is not required within his posts.

IMO its not debatable that in the first few years the Trust was part of the Club ,that disappeared during the PL years where individuals where more concerned with where they sat and who with on match days. I agree they fell well short when called to action.

Really looking forward to the game, the rain's eased off and the wind has dropped so the conditions should be right to see a fast paced game with a few errors within . 2-1 (Piroes got to score hasn't he)

The new owners have to have a plan and I'm sure it's not to continue to run us at a loss so imo they'll want to make us more competitive and in doing so successful, this will take time so as many have said 20 million will have to be spent in the right areas and if that means not on player purchases immediately then so be it, I'm more confident in the new ownership than I could and was with the last lot. The future is looking brighter now than it has been for far too long.

The I voted labour and want to apologise thread.
at 10:22 23 Nov 2024

Believe it or not Gwyn I never ever want a political party to fail , I want my governments to succeed in developing its people , improving their standard of living, making them healthy and as important wealthy, protecting the nation and yes its only 4 months but the signs are not good , I've seen over the years many new governments take office and imo without exception each one has initially giving us hope for the future , even Blair gave us that but failed and within that failure destroyed the lives of many and for that I can never forgive or forget and all I can see is Starmer enhancing and developing further Blair's ideology .
