Another nail in Monk's coffin, as yet again Swansea failed to show the necessary skills & commitment. Gomis a real waste of space, and without his goals it is very difficult, at the moment, to see where any threat might come from. Routledge is clearly past his sell-by date and I wonder whether the time is ripe to throw a couple of the youngsters in to the mix? It is apparent that something is clearly amiss behind the scenes, & I suspect that Monk may have a maximum of three more games to improve matters or see the door. Certainly without a massive change it is becoming more difficult to see how the Board can let him have any say in the January transfer window. |

A point hard earned against an honest,hard-working team that we should have been capable of dismantling. Ki & Shelvey lacked commitment, Williams looks totally knackered, & there does not appear to be any clear leadershipout on the field. Ayew fought alone, & at this rate I suspect that we will lose him sooner rather than later. Eder given a chance, but I suppose it's not really fair to judge him on this performance alone - certainly when he was swapped for Gomis, there was no change to our play. Unfortunately, today's display will not relieve any of the mounting pressure on Garry Monk. |

Confidence ebbing away from all the team, at the moment. No-one seems to be able to reproduce the form that they displayed at the start of the season. Very dissapointing result this afternoon.
At the beginning of his tenure as manager I commented on Monk's use of substitutes & he seems to be slipping back in to his old habits here. Why Britton should replace Sigursson I cannot really understand as Gylfi is always likely to score, whether from a free kick or not, whereas Leon is a holding midfield player who will never improve our attacking chances. Also, the limited time that he is giving Eder is never going to be long enough for him to get up to speed in a match. I think that it's about time that he is given a full run out, and Gomis dropped to the bech for a couple of games. |

My earlier premonition proved to be eerily true. Taken apart in the second half, by Arsenal, after a pretty even first 45 minutes. Gomis' lack of confidence clearly on show when he should have buried a couple of clear-cut chances. Allied to his inability to stay on side, I feel that his current form is having a detrimental effect on the whole team. Every time that he gets caught in an offside position not only does it disrupt the flow of the game, but it passes control of the ball back to the opposition. This in turn is permeating through to the defence which puts doubts as to whether our attack will ever score, and so puts more pressure on them. Have to say, though, that I thought that the mid-field of Ki, Shelvey, Sigurssen & Ayew played better than they have recently. It's just a good job that there are three or four teams at the bottom of the division who are giving us some breathing space, at the moment. |

Well,that was a disappointing gift of 3 points to Stoke. Can't recall last time so many passes went astray, crosses from Jeff were catching practice for Jack Butland, Gomis seems to have lost all confidence, and I'm afraid that Mo Barrow looked totally out of his league. Penalty in the first 3 minutes gave Stoke the impetus to play their usual ugly, niggly football in the first half, without making any effort to increase their lead. The second half was even worse as Stoke players refused to come out of their own half, resulting in what must have been 90% possession for us. Just a shame that our players seemed to be suffering from Euro 2016 hangovers. |

Very entertaining 2-2 result this afternnon, a fair reflection of the game, even if Spurs did score 3 out of the 4 goals! Much improved performance by the Swans, with Captain Ash superb in defence, once again. Old man Rangel made surprise start and showed that he still has a lot of guile and skill to offer the team. Gylfi ran and ran and ran and ran... Afraid that Gomis was disappointing in his execution and does not appear to be as sharp as he was at the end of last season. Overall a good afternnon, shame to hear that Liverpool have sacked Brenda though!! |

Bit of a rarity up the Liberty, this afternoon, in the form of a 0 - 0 score against Everton. Don't see many of them! Not a particularly inspiring match, not helped by a referee who would have struggled at Ashleigh Road. Suppose that Everton will be happier with their point than Swansea, although they did finish the match with 10 men after Kevin Miralis was sent off about 90 seconds after having come on as a substitute. Still, a point towards safety |
