I'm not so sure. They worked harder and had a repectable number of attempts on goal but in the second half particularly they showed that they have a losing mentality.
Just becaue we look set to throw some money about doesn't mean that we are automatically assured to start winning games. |  |

TF seems to work well as a salesman but it is true, how do we attract all these players who have considerably better teams gagging for them. After the impulse optimism that spawned from Tony's big transfer injection and Sparky's arrival so many of our 'target's have receded into darkness. Samba looks like a big uphill struggle, Zamora has all but disappeared, Piennar won't be dislodged from Spurs, and it is true that we've got to pull out some aces for Alex after the fee is really done and dusted. Henrique looks like he could be a magician, but the adaption from Sao Paulo to the Premier League is going to take considerable time. I just hope that Hughes can really turn up the heat this week coming. | | | |
