The Exiles are back in town….. 17:44 - Mar 22 with 13318 views | suffolkdale | Will we maintain our proud record of never seeing the Dale lose at home, which must go back decades? Let us hope so! Checked into the new Hampton in the town centre- great to see quality investment in the town - and who should be there to ‘welcome’ us none other than George Galloway. Sign him up Ian as we confidently expect to see him at the game tomorrow……
The Exiles are back in town….. on 21:16 - Mar 22 with 8720 views | Sheffdale | Sorry I can't be with you. I'll get our membership secretary on the Galloway trail! I'll be able to watch the match on National League TV but it's very much second best. Enjoy the Bombay Brew too for the apres football.

Second time in two weeks that somebody has died having travelled the wrong way down that stretch of motorway. Very sad Was on my way to the game, but the traffic report said that the diversion routes were congested and taking two hours. So headed back home. At least it is sunny here. Enjoy the game for those that get there
The Exiles are back in town….. on 11:02 - Mar 23 with 8178 views | Drigdale | I travel from the Leeds area and have read potentially it could re-open within the next hour or so. Would appreciate any more specific updates from anyone in the know.
The Exiles are back in town….. on 11:16 - Mar 23 with 8121 views | EllDale | I’m on “the Hebble” at the moment. Lots of congestion in Ripponden as traffic has been diverted that way. It’s moving but slowly.

Apparently still closed eastbound towards Bradford, westbound now open towards Rochdale

The Exiles are back in town….. on 15:28 - Mar 23 with 7562 views | Rodingdale | Maidenhead are in the category of teams who’ve had us watched, a poor side, simply mark up the second ball and sit deep. Works a treat. Whether they can keep it up for 90 mins remains to be seen. It’s dull to watch.
The Exiles are back in town….. on 17:37 - Mar 23 with 7172 views | Edindale | Very dull game. They were well drilled without being too threatening. We just could not get our extra class to extend the lead.

God knows how their keeper got a hand to the shot I think off Jimmy K, Cairo could have done much better when he tried to bend one into the right hand corner too, had 2 players to pass to looked like in a better position too it seemed [Post edited 23 Mar 19:19]

Jim persists with his slow, slow, unexciting football. If he thinks that performance is good enough, then think again. Time for Jim to go I'm afraid.

There was a chance before that as well to wrap it up when Gordon could have played East in. Second gritty home win in a row without playing well which is encouraging. Gilmour best player on the pitch and EEL led the back line well. Most teams will try to shut Hayes out of games now, could do with Jez finding form again and to get Ty back fit.

Just about did enough to beat part time relegation threatened Maidenhead. It is what it is, a win. Who knows it could be our last ever home win. Yay 🙄

Gilmour for me is far too good for this level, his close control and keeping the ball in tight space is ridiculously good, very good understanding with him and East, its nice to feel some connection to this side and they do look like they genuinely care and graft for each other
The Exiles are back in town….. on 20:04 - Mar 23 with 6427 views | suffolkdale | A most enjoyable day really well organised by Ian and superbly implemented by Scott and Murray - a big thank you! As for the game, being charitable the weather/ pitch didn’t help but not the most exhilarating of games - however the proud record of the Exiles continues. We have never sponsored a home game and been on the losing side - for nearly 20 years! It keeps the season interesting- see you all at Southend….

Your last line is spot on. Last season we had people saying they’d just be happy if the players gave it their all and now we have people wanting the manager out after three wins on the spin. Can’t win with some folk, even more the ones who only appear after a defeat. They know who they are. [Post edited 23 Mar 20:06]

Without wanting to be repetitive, we are far from perfect and the manager has made plenty of mistakes, but explain how we sack a manager after three successive wins just because we might not like how often we overplay at the back?

Agree about Gilmour - our most consistent performer all season. Not sure about the link with East, think sometimes they are in the same space, we look better when one of them is more advanced (preferably East) but too often today there was no short pass on for the (under instruction) CBs - usually Clayton's role? After a horrendous start Sassi settled and second half made a couple of forays over the half way line.

Thought Sassi was awful throughout. Unable to look up when playing out, passing was hardly ever accurate, missed tackles and regularly drifted across to be too close to EEL or even get in the way. Obviously can't play as a left sided centre back.
